Some people are exposed to many severe accidents as a result of their inability to stop the car despite driving at medium speeds that did not exceed the legal limit, and the main reason for this lies in the lack of proper handling of the car’s brakes.
In this regard, experts recommend the correct method of handling the car’s emergency brakes, which consists in pressing very quickly and with full force on the brake pedal, so that the optimal performance of the braking system is called up as quickly as possible by the brake pedals.
Some warned of the gradual pressure, which may lead to an increase in the braking distance for several additional meters, and it may also increase the speed of the car in some cases, such as in the presence of sand or in rain and wet roads.
In the case of cars equipped with the Anti-lock Braking System ( ABS ), the operation of this system requires applying force to the brake pedal as well. Because the system is activated only if a certain limit of tire grip is reached by high braking force, this is observed by vibrating the brake pedal, under no circumstances should the braking pressure be lowered, but must be increased if necessary.
