The Korean brand Kia unveiled its all-new Soul 2023 model 2023 in its third generation with facelift updates, classified as a small SUV.

The updated Kia Soul 2023 model has a wide range of required features, most notably the renovations and improvements to the exterior and interior design, with the addition of new color options and a range of options to distinguish it from the previous model, but in return it dropped the optional 201-horsepower turbo engine.

The Kia Soul belongs to the compact sports crossover segment, which will arrive at dealerships later in the coming months.

It operates on front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive is not available, enjoys a beautiful appearance, practicality and efficiency with advanced technologies and many safety features at an affordable price.

Kia has reduced the grades it will offer to just five: LX, S, EX, GT-Line and GT-Line Tech, after discontinuing the rugged X-Line model.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

• The upgraded car comes with a bolder, purer look similar to the Kia Rio compact sedan after Kia’s 2023 changes and some silver aluminum accents that run from the front to the side and rear that give the car a distinctive look.
• The car received major changes to the design of its new front end, which got reshaped headlights that are more formal than before with an updated front bumper.
• It features a restyled front grille, with LED headlights and front fog lamps with a revised design, and new daytime running lights in the form of graceful lines and turn signals.
• The car came with an elegant rear with an updated design that is relatively less compared to the front with new, more modern taillight groups, an updated rear bumper, vertical deflectors on both sides of the rear bumper, and a sporty design exhaust manifold.

Interior Design

• Speaking of the interior, which has kept most of its interior as it is with some minor changes that are limited to the backlighting, with a newly available digital gauge cluster, plenty of room for people and cargo.
• The 2023 Kia Soul is available in luxury options and a large number of interior color schemes, including additions of colored trim and ambient lighting, with a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats with a longer-than-usual seating position and a heated steering wheel.
• The latest new interior technologies such as a new 10.25-inch color touchscreen infotainment system with integrated navigation are available for all models except the LX, which gets an 8-inch screen.

• After excluding the 201-horsepower 1.6-liter I-4 turbo engine and dual-clutch automatic transmission, the car will rely solely on the naturally aspirated 2-liter (2000 cc) I-4 four-cylinder engine, producing a horsepower of 149 hp at 6,200 rpm and 178 Nm (132 lb-ft) of torque.
• It’s mated to a continuously variable CVT automatic transmission geared to front-wheel drive after dropping the manual transmission of the base model last year.
• It sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h in 8 seconds, while the turbo engine takes action in 6.4 seconds.

The price of the Kia Soul model 2023

• Pricing has yet to be announced, as the company will reveal the price of the small SUV near its launch in late summer.
• However, some expectations went that it would rise slightly from the initial price of the current model of 20,545 thousand dollars .
• But the GT-Line versions will likely come cheaper than last year’s GT-Line Turbo, which started at around $29,000.
