If your car hesitates when shifting gear in the automatic transmission, you must first check the oil level before starting any maintenance or adjusting the transmission or buying a new device. the oil.
The oil dipstick is located at the rear parallel to the engine of a rear-wheel drive car.
If your vehicle is front-wheel drive, the transmission fluid gauge is coming off the transmission axle.

Note:
The oil level in the vehicle’s manual transmission must be checked on the jack to enable the technician to access a plug at the bottom of the transmission.
To check your automatic transmission fluid, follow these steps:
- Pull the measuring stick
The gearshift lever must be in the neutral or park position, let the engine run. Make sure the engine is warm when the gauge is pulled out. (Do not turn off the engine).
- Check the oil
Dip the tip of your index finger into the oil on the dipstick and rub the liquid between your finger and the tip of your thumb. The transmission fluid on the dipstick should be pink and almost clear. If it smells bad or contains impurities, change the fluid.
- Wipe the scale with a clean, dust-free cloth, reinsert it, and then remove it again.
If the transmission oil is clear but does not reach the “finish” line on the dipstick, use a funnel to pour out enough transmission oil but be careful not to overfill the oil.
