Imagine that you are driving on a long travel road and you are starting to feel hungry and you did not find a restaurant on this road, what would you do?
Do you imagine you could prepare a quick meal on the heat of your engine? Yes, it is an exciting and possibly annoying idea, as many people will not accept it because of the idea that it is far from implementation and perhaps because many people will refuse to prepare food on a dirty engine. The fact is that you can do this especially if your engine is in good condition and the food to be cooked is in aluminum foil.
1) Prepare your engine for work
This experience depends mainly on the temperature of the car’s engine, which means that it is always kept hot, so you need to keep the car running the entire cooking time. And since there are some foods that require a specific engine speed and time to be prepared, so adding to the speed or turning on the road can lead to the completion of cooking in less time than required.
2) Preparing the food and making it ready for cooking
Place the food on an aluminum sheet, then place the two ends of the paper on top of the food (such as a piece of meat) in the middle. Fold these ends several times, then place the other ends on top of the roll and fold them several times as well. Use another aluminum foil and do the same process as before with this one, since this cooking process requires several sheets (at least two).
3) Select the hottest location of the engine
It is best in this step to find the hottest area of the engine (which is always the metal parts. Any plastic part in the engine will not help in the cooking process) by making a quick round in which you heat the engine, then after that you lift the hood and touch its surface several touches In different places of the engine to identify the hotter parts of it. Or if you are afraid of burning your fingers, you can spread some water in different areas to identify the places that emit the most sizzle sounds, which indicates that they are the hottest.
4) Put the winding on the car engine
To keep the food roll steady and in a safe place, you can attach it to the motor. Or to do a “aluminum foil test” by making a small ball of aluminum foil and placing it in the likely place to put your food in, then close the car cover. If the cover does not touch the aluminum balls, you need to make your food roll thicker than these balls to keep it from falling off. But if the balls are very close to the cover, you should make them thinner.
Cooking hazards on a car engine
1) If the food is placed in an inappropriate place in the engine, this will cause risks to your health and the engine itself. But by taking some precautions, you will avoid these risks, for example that when you put the food roll on the engine, you must avoid placing it in some places, so do not place it on moving parts and the gas pedal that can be connected to other fuel sources.
2) Do not use belts or hoses to control the winding as these items may loosen while driving.
3) Do not attempt to cook any liquid food on the motor as you cannot anticipate what will happen with the food roll in this case. The vibration of the engine will lead to the leakage of these fluids, which will lead to the emission of smoke, but a fire is expected if the food contains fats or oils.
4) Always remember before putting food on the engine to stop the car from running. After cooking is finished, do not start the car again until after the food is transported from it. Even if you do a food inspection while cooking, the motor must stop first.
