In the first official teaser, the Japanese brand Honda revealed its latest version of the Honda CRV 2023 model, with its sixth generation and all-new with extensive updates.
The Honda CRV is classified as a sporty SUV, the Chinese-spec version had previously appeared in a series of spy photos disguised under camouflage on the Internet.
According to these images published by the brand, which show a large part of the look of the car before we see the model in full detail, along with its technical specifications sheet.

The all-new Honda CRV 2023
- The Honda CRV 2023 belongs to the compact sports crossover class, for the first time ever it will be available as a hybrid car.
- The newest Honda 2023 cars have a distinctive design from the current version with more capabilities and a sporty driving experience after undergoing a serious transformation.
- This makes it a rival to many competing cars including luxury brands such as Toyota RAV4, Nissan X Trail, Hyundai Tucson, Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Terrain, Kia Sportage and more.
- Honda’s best-selling crossover is the second most popular SUV on the market after the Toyota RAV4, with annual sales of the current model averaging more than 350,000 copies in the US alone since its arrival in 2017, even with production disruptions. And the COVID-19 pandemic last year, a total of 361,271 models were sold.
- The pictures give a good look at the next generation of compact crossovers that will be sold in the American market.
- Some of the specifications that appeared alongside those images indicate that the new car is larger than the model it replaces, with a length of 185.1 inches versus 182.1 inches for the current model, because the car is available with the option of third-row seats in some markets.
- This model is scheduled to be officially launched within the next few weeks in the summer of 2022, before sales start next fall as the 2023 model.
- The company is also introducing a new Honda Pilot this year, which the brand is calling the “Year of the SUV.”
Honda CRV 2023 specifications
The teaser shows that the design is a little different and more attractive than the Chinese-spec version that came online a few days ago.
The upgraded car looks sharp on both sides, with darker chrome accents distinguishing it from the outgoing model.
The Honda CRV 2023 has received major changes to its front fascia design after a complete redesign, including renovated headlights that are slimmer and narrower than the previous version, and which contain LED daytime running lights.
With the front grille updated with a new style that is more prominent, larger and more durable in black, the grille contains wide openings, below which are located lower air vents on the bumper that include silver caps.
To complement the new look, the lower corners have dark accents that give the car a distinctive look, and the shape and curves of the front end are completely different from the current CRV.
From the rear, the car came with an updated design, the new taillights have a modern L-shaped look that extends vertically and horizontally with LED lights, a different tailgate with the CR-V badge in the lower left corner, and a relatively small rear window.
As well as the more prominent updated rear bumper, which nicely incorporates the silver trim, which might fool you into thinking it’s an exhaust port, but in reality it isn’t.
The side design is simple, with a distinctive crease. Honda also installed side mirrors on the door panels this time.

Interior Design
Although no information is available on the interior of the next generation of the car, we can expect the interior, which was spotted in some spy shots from the prototypes, to be similar to the cabin of
the Honda Civic .

In terms of performance and engine details, the company confirmed that the optional hybrid system will be more advanced, and will be able to provide a sporty driving experience ‘with greater capabilities than that found in the current
CR-V Hybrid , which generates 212 horsepower.
The hybrid powertrain combines the work of a two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a pair of electric motors for a total of 212 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque.
It also features all-wheel drive as standard and achieves around 5.9 l/100 km in the city.
Honda CRV 2023 price
Pricing has not yet been announced, as the company will reveal the price of the Honda CRV 2023 small SUV near its launch date in the summer, and Honda plans to reveal more details about the car this summer.
