The MAF sensor, its location and function

The sensors enable the car to run properly on the roads, but these sensors may sometimes be damaged due to the great pressure that it bears.

The MAF sensor is one of the most important and prominent of these sensors, as its failure leads to abnormal fuel consumption, and it is clearly visible near the air filter.

Any malfunction of the air sensor may lead to a clear increase in fuel consumption, and in addition to this annoying problem, you will feel that the car suffers an unpleasant “turn” when you stop it while the engine is still running (for example, when you stop at traffic lights).

A failure of the air sensor causes a problem with the RPM, as it will become erratic. One of the most important things that indicate a failure of the MAF sensor is an abnormal loss of torque and power, so you feel that your vehicle has lost a large number of horses.
