Reasons for the delay in shifting between gears in the automatic gearbox:-

Specialists emphasize that there are several reasons behind this occurrence, the most important of which are the following:

1_ Low gear oil level in the car: –

One of the most common reasons behind the delay of automatic gearbox shifts in cars is the lack of gear oil level in the car, and this leads to many problems in the car, so the oil level must be checked constantly as follows:-

• The vehicle must be parked on flat ground.
• The car engine must be running.
• The temperature of the car must be in the operating position, i.e. less than the middle of the heat indicator with a dash.
• Tighten the parking brake or put a stone behind one of the rear wheels in case the parking brake is weak or fails to stop the car strongly.
• Press the brake pedal, then move the gearbox from P to R, then raise your foot from the brake pedal one by one until you make sure that the car is stuck to the hand brake or to the stone that has been placed.
• Open the engine cover (the hood), then remove the gearbox oil, clean it well, and then put it in its place again.
• Remove the gear oil gauge again and make sure that the oil level falls between the two HOT marks. In the event that the gear oil level does not reach between the two HOT marks, it must be supplied immediately. 

2- The gearbox filter is damaged in the car: 

Damage to the gearbox filter in the car also causes this problem to appear in cars, so in this case the gearbox filter must be checked and changed, you will notice that this problem has disappeared in the car
