German brand Mercedes-Benz has revealed the first official teaser appearance of the concept version of its all-new supercar called the Mercedes vision AMG.

Classified as a four-door super coupe, Mercedes- AMG will in fact become the first-ever electric car from the AMG sports division in the coming years, entirely developed by the AMG team in Affalterbach.

This high-performance electric sedan comes with a sleek look with a futuristic design, taking the sports brand to a whole new level of an all-electric future, as the brand prepares for a radical transformation of electric motors during the current decade.

Mercedes Vision AMG Concept

It is a futuristic version of the upcoming AMG sedan with four doors, which has a sporty, graceful design and a curved body with very impressive aerodynamics, which distinguishes it from other Mercedes models.

The Mercedes-AMG Vision is based on an all-new modular EV platform known as the AMG.EA architecture for AMG sports cars, but it is not known what features this car will receive.

By 2025, this could be the time when this concept will turn into the first production Vision AMG EV model built on this platform.

Specifications of Mercedes Vision AMG

EXTERIOR DESIGN

  • The Mercedes Vision debut focuses on the model’s exterior, with the prototype’s exterior design adopting an evolutionary look following in the footsteps of the Vision EQXX, with a sleek body and smooth aerodynamic surfaces.
  • It features a steeply pitched teardrop roof, long wheelbase, bold lighting elements with short overhangs and a low body.
  • At the front, the concept features the AMG-styled Panamericana grille with vertical slats that gives the car a distinctive look, since it is an electric car and does not need physical hatches.
  • Along with the prominent fenders covering the large wheels, the headlights feature three modules that reflect the shape of the Mercedes triple star emblem, with a thin light strip at the tip of the cap connecting the headlamp modules.
  • The side and rear windows are painted the same Alubeam Silver color as the rest of the car.
  • The photos show the rear of the car, where the short rear deck features an active wing, at the tip of this wing, is the light strip extending along the rear to the rear wheels.
  • From the rear, it also features three lamps on each side, with a three-dimensional design that evokes the appearance of the exhaust pipes, below them is a black rear diffuser.
  • On the other hand, the car’s specifications include giant wheels in a closed and dynamic design measuring 22 inches, with a look inspired by those found in Formula 1 cars with attractive sporty wide fenders.
  • There are some styling cues reminiscent of Mercedes Formula One, most notably the faded star pattern on the rear side, silver paint and watercolor accents.
  • For this concept car, it is likely that most of its current features will pass to the production model without drastic differences, but we do not know the exact date of the launch of this model.

Interior Design

  • The interior is relatively spacious, compared to competing cars in this category, as this car was about 5.7 inches longer than its rival Porsche Taycan, allowing for better legroom, especially in the rear seats.
  • Although the company has not yet provided any images or data to give us a look at the possible interior of the car.
  • But sure enough, the car has four seats inside, and gets a teardrop-shaped cockpit, with some closed lines and a long but severed tail.
  • Nothing can be confirmed at this early stage, so we’ll have to wait and see if the new supercar will get a 47.5-inch 8K OLED screen that evokes that of the Vision EQXX.

mechanical specifications

  • Regarding the power system, Mercedes has not revealed much about technical details or current performance figures for the electric powertrain, but it has confirmed that it is developing the engine completely from scratch.
  • We don’t have many details on the output yet, but Mercedes has promised a high-performance, high-voltage battery and compact, lightweight axial flow motors, which come from Mercedes subsidiary YASA.
  • We also expect impressive performance rates, no doubt much greater than conventional electric motors, with an electric range of more than 1,000 km (626 miles) per charge.

The price of the Mercedes Vision AMG

  • It will likely arrive in 2025, and no pricing information is available yet.

That’s all we know so far about the Mercedes-AMG Vision, and we’ll learn more about AMG’s electric plans in the coming years. Expect to see more unique Mercedes-AMG concept cars.
