There are nine styles available for this cool car. Xbus switches from a bedroom truck or caravan to a sunshade
Electric Brands is showcasing its modular electric vehicle platform with the unveiling of Xbus. This little German car is absolutely gorgeous.

If something about the Xbus design causes a fuzzy memory to pop up in your mind, it’s because the concept the company introduced in 2020 was named eBussy. Now, that concept is a fully operational prototype and looks a bit different.
Battery and motor pack

At least by legal definition in Europe, the Xbus is not classified as a car. It enters the L7e class of quad bikes. This explains why a standard battery packs just 10 kWh, but that’s enough to travel 124 miles (200 kilometres) when charged. As an option, a 30 kWh package boosts the range to 373 miles (600 km).
The convertible uses four wheel hub electric motors that achieve a peak output of 75 hp (56 kW) and 20 hp (15 kW) of continuous power. Top speed 62 mph (100 kph).

As part of the L7e class, payload is limited to 992 lb (450 kg) or 1,323 lb (600 kg) cargo. In accordance with safety standards, the car also has battery trays in the middle. It will be possible to exchange it at a dealer or on the road without specialized tools. In the beginning there will be 600 dealers in Europe and this will eventually expand to 1,000 battery replacement sites, which means that you will not need to maintain or charge the battery, change and continue your journey.

Electric Brands will make several modules for the Xbus which will give buyers nine chassis styles to choose from. It will include a fully enclosed bus, a fixed bed minivan, a minivan with tilting dump truck bed, and a flatbed version with foldable sides. There will also be some kind of camper with fridge, sink, stove and TV inside.

Electric Brands is acquiring free capacity at a stand-alone plant in Itzehoe, Germany, to build all multiple models of this superb car. The German company Universal will supply the battery cells to dealers and petrol stations.
Electric Brands has the new vehicle component now available. Prices start at €17,380 ($20,613) at current exchange rates. Production is supposed to start in the middle of 2022.
XBUS is not a car, but more!

It is the most innovative light vehicle among the many units in the world. The battery generates a range of up to 200 km per day through its integrated solar modules and recovery motors.
And its maximum range without charging, with full batteries and solar modules, is more than 600 km. With over 10 modular and interchangeable bodies, it can be converted into a convertible for any purpose, whether off-road, box-body, station wagon, pickup or van, and camper bus in just a few simple steps.
With an electronically controlled permanent all-wheel drive system, torque in excess of 1,000Nm and an app-controlled connectivity system, as well as other optional equipment features such as air conditioning and digital exterior mirrors, the XBUS has an empty weight without batteries, charging and superstructures. It is only 450-600 kg, but it can still carry loads of up to 1000 kg.

XBUS has an off-road chassis with tipper center unit 1, platform unit 2 and side panels 2, and the battery capacity is approximately 10 kWh. Range of 200 km (optionally with a battery capacity of 30 kWh and a range of 600 km) in some versions, and in addition to the all-wheel drive system, the XBUS has a sunroof, audio system, relaxation mode and much more.
XBUS and Shipping Methods

No matter if you want to recharge your XBUS from a household socket, on high voltage, or just in the sun, anything is possible. Alternatively, you can replace empty batteries with full ones at company battery exchange stations in the future.

Electric Brand promises to provide its own battery replacement stations, assuring that over time, you will find our battery replacement stations in many places. Here you can recharge your batteries around the clock and ensure you always have high performance battery packs without taking the time to charge. And of course, you can also refuel your XBUS in any household socket or at (quick) charging stations. XBUS always comes with cables, even as part of the standard package.
The first XBUS prototypes are emerging in Germany and other European markets, but guess where it’s also headed? To the North American market. According to the company’s website, the ordering system for folks in the U.S. of A. will open on September 1, 2021
