The facelifted 2024 Range Rover Velar has officially appeared

The British company, Land Rover, revealed the updates that the 2024 Range Rover Velar got.

One of the latest entrants, the Range Rover Velar, debuted in 2017, is a very stylish and luxurious SUV. The newest car in the Range Rover family has a new face, updated technical features, better performance and a stunning interior with a full list of renewals and upgrades, we will introduce you to them under this report.

Range Rover Velar 2024

It belongs to the category of modern luxury SUV crossovers with four-wheel drive, it has a new look, upgraded technology, modified decoration and upgradeable hybrid power.

It received a modest redesign for 2024, including exterior design updates, new colors, a new interior and a suite of enhanced user-friendly technologies with four major configurations and two engine choices including mild hybrid technology.

Specifications of the Range Rover Velar 2024

Exterior design

• The Range Rover got an elegant exterior design on the car with some minor external changes and acceptable improvements. In general, the car maintained the elegant design specifications that it has provided since its launch.
• Exterior changes include a refreshed front fascia that features a new grille, updated LED headlights and the option of Matrix LED technology with jewel-like daytime running lights surrounding the grille.
• At the rear, the lower section has been updated with the installation of a new lower rear bumper and new LED taillights with a glossy 3D effect.
• Rounding out the exterior updates is the addition of two new exterior body paint options; Metallic Varesine Blue, and Premium Metallic Zadar Gray.

Interior Design

• Moving on to the interior that received the most renovation, we find a leather-free cabin with new seat designs and unique materials such as Kvadrat wool (which is said to be 58 percent lighter than leather) and polyurethane textiles, to be able to withstand no less than 10 years of heavy use and wear.
• Leather options get new chrome interior touches on the center console, air vents and steering wheel, and Land Rover offers two options of aluminum or wooden accents on the console.
• The new Velar is available in three new skin colours, including Cloud, Raven Blue and Deep Garnet, with many exclusive features.
• The most notable interior update is Land Rover’s newest Pivi Pro infotainment system with a new 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen that replaces the 10-inch screen.
• Land Rover developed it to appear as a floating panel on the dashboard and is responsible for handling climate controls, seat settings, audio controls and the vehicle’s driving modes.
• Updated technology includes a pre-drive function that displays at startup and provides settings for commonly used features, such as defrost and seat heaters.
• Land Rover has simplified its latest Pivi Pro infotainment interface allowing users to access 80 percent of available functions with two taps or less on the home screen.
• The updated version of the infotainment system is even more user-friendly than before, benefits from over-the-air updates, and wirelessly supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and satellite navigation functions.
• The included eSIM enables connected apps such as Spotify to stream directly through the infotainment system, Amazon Alexa is also standard.
• Active noise cancellation comes standard, using external audio frequencies and the SUV stereo to counteract road and wind noise, and a new cabin air filtration system provides CO2 management and monitors air quality to make automatic adjustments.
• Available features include a Meridian 3D surround sound system with a 750-watt amplifier, and a wireless charger in the center console.

Security and safety systems

• In terms of safety and security equipment, it looks similarly equipped to its predecessor, and includes lane keep assist, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, parking sensors, and a rearview camera.
• The SUV comes equipped with Terrain Response 2, which provides modes for driving on grass, gravel, snow, mud, sand and more.

Mechanical specifications

• In terms of the powertrain, the vehicle is offered in four main configurations and two powertrain options:
• The P250 S and P250 Dynamic SE are powered by a four-cylinder, two-liter (2,000 cc) engine with a turbocharged output of 247 hp and 365 Nm (269 lb-ft) of torque, power flowing to the wheels via a standard all-wheel drive system.
• The P400 Dynamic SE and P400 Dynamic HSE are powered by an upgraded 3.0-litre inline-six turbocharged engine, with support from a 48-volt Lithium-Ion Mild Hybrid system that improves acceleration and makes the automatic engine start/stop system more responsive.
• For a total of 395 horsepower and 405 lb-ft (549 Nm) of torque.
• Both engines feature a new, smoother-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD).
• As in other Land Rover models, the Velar is available with air suspension, and P400 models come standard with adaptive suspension.
