The all-new Geely Coolray 2023

The Chinese company Geely presented a presentation in which it revealed details about the all-new Geely Coolray 2023 crossover, and also published new pictures of the car and the interior.

Which represents the SUV model under the compact, was presented globally for the first time in 2018, and since its launch has achieved wide spread in many markets.

The latest version of the all-new Geely Coolray 2023 has received significant improvements in exterior design and technologies, the car has changed a lot in appearance, and increased in size, we will learn about them in the following lines.

It is a front-wheel drive crossover car that has a sportier and more exciting design with a new, more powerful engine.

The new Coolray has an increase in length of 50 mm over the previous model, reaching 4,380 meters in length instead of 4,330 metres.

It is available in Saudi Arabia through Wallan Trading Company, the local agent of the Chinese brand.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

• The car received some modifications made by Geely to its exterior design, which was raised to a more exciting level with a large black front grille.
•  There are also tapered LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights and red trim.
• New door sills are also present and ride on eye-catching 18-inch wheels.
• At the rear, we see LED taillights with a light strip extending the entire width of the car, a new bumper, and culminated in a more complex rear spoiler, and four exhaust outlets, which enhances the sporty appearance in the rear of the car.

Interior Design

• When the doors are opened, we can see a completely new design that draws its details from the new Geely Bean Roy Cole Sedan.
• The design changes continue in a different dashboard and new steering wheel with the presence and control knob of the transmission, a redesigned center tunnel with slightly fewer buttons and an illuminated dashboard.
• The cabin provides ample space for up to five people. The seats come in fabric or leather with electric control, and they are also cooled and heated.
• In terms of technology, there are two large screens, a central touch screen for controlling the infotainment system, which will come in at 12.3 inches, and is tilted slightly towards the driver.
• Visually integrated with the new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster enhances vehicle function control.

ENTERTAINMENT AND FACILITIES

• The Chinese crossover has many means of entertainment and communication, where there is a sound system consisting of 6 high-quality speakers, in addition to the presence of features, most notably electric mirrors, automatic air conditioning and a panoramic sunroof that makes the cabin more ventilated, a smart key and the feature of self-parking.

Safety and security systems

• It is worth noting the diversity of the car’s safety equipment that enhances the comfort of the occupants, namely: anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control with a rear camera and electronic brake force distribution.
• With electric parking brake system, traction control system, rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system and hill assist system.
• The higher grade also supports blind-spot alert, front parking sensors, child seat anchor (ISOFIX), a 360-degree panoramic view camera and up to 6 airbags.

Technical Specifications

• In terms of performance, the current Geely Coolray is based on a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, developing 177 hp and a maximum torque of 255 Nm, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (7DCT) geared to the front-wheel drive system.
• The car accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 195 km/h.
• This engine was replaced in the updated Geely Coolray with an engine created by Aurobay which was formed after the merger of the Volvo and Geely engine divisions, a 5.8-liter engine that produces 181 hp, at 290 Nm of torque.
• The picture is completed by a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
• Acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h with the new engine has been reduced from 7.9 to 7.6 seconds, and fuel consumption has been reduced from 6.3 to 5.8 liters per 100 km, from a 45-liter fuel tank.
