The shock absorber or the so-called (assistant) is one of the elements of the safety system in the car, which must be checked periodically to ensure safety while driving.
Therefore, in this regard, Heiko Wolfarm, a member of the German Automobile Club, indicated that shock absorber wear occurs gradually in the car, which makes it more difficult to notice the percentage of damage in it, but this can be inferred by the continued vibration of the car for a long time after bumps.
For its part, the German Quality Supervision Authority ( TÜV ) indicated that wet roads, which contain many fractures and bumps, are one of the most stressful things that cause additional stress on the shock absorber and lead to its rapid wear.
Ashmid Laser, a member of the German Quality Control Authority, added that one of the most important signs of damage to the shock absorber in the car is the car’s flotation or severe deviation in the corners, as this indicates the wear of the shock absorber. Here, the car driver must replace the shock absorber immediately, to avoid exposure to any risks while driving as a result of the car’s deviation.
