Electric vehicle sales grow 128%

Sales of electric cars grew by about 4.8 million vehicles during the first ten months of this year, compared to sales of last year, which totaled about 2.1 million cars. We now mention the details of the growth of electric car sales.

Tesla ranked first in the list of electric cars with total sales of 676.7 thousand units, with 14% of sales in 2021

While BYD ranked second in the list, registering a total of 409.9 thousand vehicles with a market share of 8.5%, while SGMW came in third place after registering 349.4 thousand vehicles with a market share of 7.2%.

Volkswagen ranked fourth, with 247.5 thousand cars, with a market share of 5.8%, while BMW came in fifth place, after recording total sales of 220,6 thousand cars, with a market share of 4.6%.

Electric car sales for the following five positions

While SAIC ranked sixth in the list of electric cars, with total sales of 180,0 thousand vehicles, which accounts for a share of 3.7%, while Mercedes came in seventh place in the list of electric cars, with total sales of 178.5 thousand vehicles, with a market share of 3.7% .

Volvo car also dominated the eighth place on the list, with total sales of 150,2 thousand vehicles, with a market share of 3.1%, while the ninth place is for Audi, which recorded total sales of 137.9 thousand vehicles, with a market share of 2.8%.

Kia managed to get the tenth place in the list after recording total sales of 124.6 thousand vehicles, to acquire a market share of 2.6% of the global total.
