Although registrations of new passenger cars in France decreased year on year, sales of electric cars were noted and improved significantly over the past month.
A statistic came from the National Association for the Development of Electric Mobility in France, stating that the demand for the purchase of new cars continued to decline, while the same statistic showed an increase in electric car sales in France.
Sales of fully electric cars in the car market in France amounted to 12,736 cars, an annual increase of 69%, and accounted for 11.8% of the total sales of new cars.

It is noteworthy that the famous Tesla and Volkswagen cars are not among the list of the 10 best-selling cars in France this year, despite the high inflation in the percentage of purchases of electric cars.
New vehicle registrations in France for July 2022

- Passenger cars registered PHVs = 70,157, a 13% decrease.
- Light commercial vehicles recorded BEVs = 7092, an increase of 13%.
- While light commercial vehicles recorded PHVs = 399.
