BMW X1 2023 (price, specifications and photos)

The Bavarian manufacturer BMW (BMW) revealed the latest version of the BMW X1 2023 model for the year 2023, which is classified as a compact crossover of the completely new third generation, which has been in development since June 2020.

The smallest of BMW’s cars comes with a distinctive new design, new features, a larger size than the previous model, many driver assistance features and more technology.

  • It belongs to the category of luxury SUV, compact SUV, with the standard xDrive all-wheel drive system with the availability of the X-Line package.
  • The BMW X1 2023 competes with the Mercedes GLA and the Volvo XC 40.
  • BMW showcases the all-new X1 with an almost cartoonish appearance. It is longer, wider and longer than its predecessor and has a longer wheelbase, resulting in more interior space for passengers and cargo.
  • As for the new exterior dimensions, the car has a length of 4,400 meters after an increase of 1.7 inches, a width of 1,844 meters after an addition of 0.9 inches, and a height of 1,640 meters after an increase of 1.7 inches, with a wheelbase of 2,692 meters and a rear trunk volume of 540 liters.
  • The vehicle comes equipped with the M Sport package with aggressive-looking exterior modifications and various interior trims that include paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
  • The M suspension system is a new option, lowering the X1’s ride height by 0.6 inches for a comfortable ride.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

  • During its official debut, the car came with an eye-catching new look with a design inspired by the X3 and X5, with some visual upgrades that definitely make it more distinct than its predecessor.
  • The car has received some changes to the design of the front fascia to become more aggressive, including slightly larger semi-square grilles, decorated with chrome bars and frame, along with the large black plastic livery on the lower edges.
  • The BMW X1 2023 also features a new, more prominent headlight design, standard full LED lamps at all four corners, with accents below the front fenders and lower roof rails.
  • Moving to the rear, modern L-shaped taillights with a prominently extended roof spoiler above the narrow rear window give the X1 a more solid appearance.
  • The car rides on updated wheels, which come standard with 18-inch wheels and can optionally be ordered with 19 or 20-inch wheels, while sharper wheel arches create a slightly wider visual effect.
  • As for the list of exterior paint colors, new paint colors have been made available.

Interior Design

  • The new cabin was spotted, which came with a little more space after increasing the dimensions, along with premium technologies.
  • The cabin offers space for five passengers, and the interior also has heated and more bolstered seats, a heated steering wheel and ambient interior lighting for all passengers.
  • Upgraded to BMW’s latest iDrive 8 infotainment system, which comes with a pair of screens, featuring a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch central infotainment screen under a single pane of glass, with a driver-like design Found in the updated Series 3.

ENTERTAINMENT AND FACILITIES

  • As for technology, communication and entertainment, there is a good amount of standard equipment, most notably four USB-C ports, a 12-volt power socket and a Bluetooth interface.
  • The BMW X1 2023 supports over-the-air updates, an augmented reality navigation system, and with wireless charging for smartphones.
  • An optional 205-watt Harman Kardon premium audio system with 12 speakers and a subwoofer integrated into the door is also available.
  • In addition, there are features such as the interior camera, the remote control function in the My BMW app, and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto integration.
  • It comes with an excellent level of equipment and luxuries, most notably the digital key to open the door and remote engine start with dual climate control, electric tailgate, rear camera and optional panoramic sunroof.

  • In terms of power, the car will be available with only one engine option, as the xDrive28i model is based on a 2-liter (2000 cc) in-line petrol engine with a turbocharger, which pumps out 241 hp (177 kW) after an increase of 13 hp over the previous generation and the 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm.
  • This power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, rather than a conventional 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
  • It accelerates from standstill to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 6.2 seconds.

The price of the BMW X1 2023

  • As for the price of the xDrive28i model in the global market, it starts from 39,595 thousand US dollars.
  • Which is due to arrive in the US in the fourth quarter of this year, and will be followed shortly after by the redesigned X2.
