It pulled the look of the crossover and the height together, and the exterior was bold, but it was trimmed down to the length of the Super Mini. The Nissan Juke has sold well from the beginning to the end of its life. And here’s the new 2022 Nissan Juke. It’s different in many ways, but the soul was meant to stay.
The original Nissan Juke was an absolute pioneer. Designed as an alternative to traditional compact cars, its elevated riding position lends it a touch of SUV style, with a distinctive look and an affordable price for buyers on more modest budgets.
But they weren’t competitive despite some drawbacks: its steering position is curved, its rear seat is narrow and dark, and its trunk is little more than a rear-mounted glove box.

Its quirky looks didn’t suit everyone’s taste, some liked it and I didn’t like the back, but
the Japanese manufacturer sold the Nissan Juke with its unique design, while inspiring a host of other small cars to ride high, including the Ford Puma, Renault Captur and Skoda Kamik and Volkswagen T-Roc.
But there are those who liked its exterior design as well as its price at the time.

Whether you already own an original Nissan Juke or are considering buying one for the first time, there is plenty to discuss, as there is an army of premium compact SUVs that rival the Nissan Juke, including the Ford Puma, Renault Captur, Skoda Kamiq and Volkswagen T-Roc.

New second generation 2022 Nissan Juke

The new one is much bigger than the inside.
The trunk is larger, and the second generation version contains all the components needed to be more versatile .
It provides more stability in cornering.
It benefits from a completely modern 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine (Nissan has abandoned diesel power entirely on the 2022 Nissan Juke).

The Juke still stands out in its distinctive look, but it has a slightly larger design than its predecessor.
Original design cues, such as inverted headlights and hidden rear door handles, are neatly integrated into a more cohesive silhouette.
You could almost call him looking handsome – but we’ll leave that up to you and your own sense of it.
Nissan Juke engine 2022
The only engine option you have in the Nissan Juke is the 112hp 1.0L Turbo Petrol (DIG-T 11), which is powerful enough as long as you keep the revs above 2000 rpm.
The Japanese manufacturer says the 2022 Nissan Juke will accelerate from 0-62 mph (100 km) in 10.7 seconds.

It is likely that other engines will join the 2022 Nissan Juke lineup in the future, including a hybrid version, although Nissan has ruled out a diesel engine.
Notably, similar engines in the competing Skoda Kamiq and Volkswagen T-Roc are a bit more powerful, on the other hand, the Ford Puma’s light-hybrid engines – especially the 1.0 Ecoboost Hybrid (mHEV) 155 – are more powerful than the Nissan Juke.
Suspension and driving comfort in the Nissan Juke 2022

We didn’t find the 2022 Nissan Juke to be annoying, and its suspension absorbs big bumps and road scars.
Sticking to the smaller 16-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels provides the best driving comfort, but they can’t make the 2022 Nissan Juke as easy as the racy cars in its class, and the 19-inch alloy wheels that come with the Enigma, Tekna and Tekna grades don’t offer ride + comfort .
Treatment in the Nissan Juke 2022
The Nissan Juke doesn’t rock through tight twists and turns as you might imagine, and there’s a reasonable amount of road grip, but it’s not that much fun, mainly because the steering is so careful back to center position, and that robs you of a lot of confidence and connection to the road.

Sharp and fun, the Puma is the opposite, and is by far the best compact SUV to drive.
The Puma’s steering is heavier and more alert, its body control is better on undulating roads and is simply more nimble and balanced in turns.
The Kamiq and T-Roc aren’t quite on par with the Puma, but they are more poised than the 2022 Nissan Juke.
Noise and vibration in the Nissan Juke 2022
Let’s start with the positives.
The 1.0-liter Juke petrol engine is quieter than similar engines in the Kamiq and T-Roc, even if you hear a strange whistle from the turbocharger when the engine is depressed.
The six-speed manual transmission is relatively light, but those of the competition are noticeably more refined.

And it is better to avoid using the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, as it is worse in this respect.
It’s very jerky on the go, no matter what driving mode you’re on.
Unfortunately, there is a fair amount of wind and road noise as well.
The massive 19-inch alloy wheels make road noise worse – a standard feature on the top grades.
If you want a quieter car in its class, then the T-Roc is the car for you.
Driving position and dashboard in the Nissan Juke 2022
If you’ve ever driven a first generation Nissan Juke, you might be frustrated by the fact that the steering wheel doesn’t adjust according to height.
Therefore, we were pleased to find that the steering wheel of the 2022 Nissan Juke is now moving in and out.
The 2022 Nissan Juke pedals are also well placed, easy to feel comfortable behind the wheel.
But it is uncomfortable on long trips, as there is no adjustable lumbar support, so we suggest taking an extended test drive to see if that might cause you problems.

If you’re considering getting a small SUV because you like a higher driving position, the Nissan Juke is your choice, as it feels a little higher, and when you sit in the 2022 Nissan Juke it’s in a higher position than its competitors, including the Skoda Kamiq.
Driving impressions of the Nissan Juke 2022
The Juke’s dash is attractive and comfortable, and the Nissan Juke’s 112-horsepower engine bolstered by 148 pound-feet of torque is just right for it, it’s not a slow car, and the mid-rev range doesn’t show much lag.
It is similar to a four-cylinder engine, and the acceleration stats are adequate.
From zero to 62 is 10.7 seconds, thanks to shifts that are smoothly and intelligently timed across the transmission.
But the manual transmission lever is a bit loose.

The suspension in the 2022 Nissan Juke is moderate to hard, anti-roll.
And this lightweight steering combined with the smoothness of gears is the classic recipe for a crisscross feel that feels fun in the corners.
They grip the tires firmly, and the car feels well planted on the road, with the feel that the chassis and equipment are all tightly linked together.
The old generation chassis was a set of annoyingly disjointed drums.

The Juke’s high-end versions come with a good selection of driver aids including adaptive cruise, highway blind-spot intervention and surround-view city cameras.
If the automatic box is fitted, you have what Nissan calls a ProPilot, which is cruise control for follow-up stops with lane guidance.
The steering assist operates smoothly when turned on, but keeps giving up when it’s not sure of its lanes, so it’s basically unnecessary.
The exterior design of the Nissan Juke 2022
In its second generation, the Nissan Juke 2022 comes larger and more powerful.
Although that may make it heavier and less friendly for city tours.
Impressively, however, the length of the wheelbase was increased to 10cm.
So it’s still short enough to turn it off easily.
It is lighter.
The new dimensions also pushed the wheels further into the corners, an effect reinforced by their bulkiness.
In general, the appearance may be polarizing, but it is not ugly.
As always, the Juke features sharp lines, dramatic lights, interesting design touches, 19-inch wheels, and a distinctive floating roof.
The jock design is eye-catching, creating aerodynamics that lets you split the air for fuel efficiency and a quieter ride.

The design was updated and took advantage of a stronger stance, but didn’t lose any of the sassiness of the old design.
The front end still has those big round eyes, but its lighting function is no longer circular, but changed to a three-lobe LED.
Above is an optional contrast roof, and the rear door handles are folded behind the windows.
The back number plate and badge also come in the shape of a massive hexagonal base.
However, this design madness is somehow coherent.
Interior Design For Nissan Juke 2022

The cabin is mostly covered in quilted materials, some of the handles are knurled metal trim, and the door panels are brightly colored if you’re bored from black to black.
The central display takes care of navigation data in almost all categories.
The highlight of the 2022 Nissan Juke is the Bose audio system that places additional small steering speakers in the front headrests for a captivating spacious sound.

Nothing special about the Juke, but the range of connectivity to remote services is impressive especially trip fuel analysis, door lock/unlock, lights flash, status checks, send destinations to your phone, and use the in-car Google Voice Assistant instead of the Android Auto based assistant to phone and phone mirroring features (also present) but they are a bit vague.

The cabin is of greater quality and value. The materials in the 2022 Juke’s cabin are semi-luxurious, with glossy black plastic, and the mid-level trim on the Juke looks better than the T-Roc and Ford Puma.
In terms of build quality and overall material well-being, the Juke stands among the best compact SUVs, only the Audi Q2 outperformed by its outstanding competitors.
Riding comfort in Nissan Juke 2022
The 2022 Juke gets off to a good start by having front and rear doors that open at 66 “relatively wide” degrees. Also keep in mind that the door sill is very high off the ground by 475mm. The front seats are very supportive.
And there’s plenty of room for tall people in the front of the Nissan Juke, with generous headroom and seats that slide away in the rear.

The storage space is not that special, there is a small compartment under the central armrest, two cup holders directly in front of it, and an adequately sized glove box.
And if there’s one thing to note, it’s that the driver’s seat sits at least 710mm off the ground, so you may find yourself having to raise yourself up to sit on the seat.
In the back, the jock can comfortably accommodate two adults.
There is plenty of legroom in the back, and headroom is only acceptable, however, if you are tall in body, you may have to bend over.
And in the case of three passengers there will be no comfort, the roof is narrow and pushes your head towards the center of the car and your body follows.
Trunk space is one area where the Nissan Juke excels.
It saves 422 liters when using the rear seats, and 1305 liters when folded, which is much more than the Kona or Arona can offer.
The trunk also has a height-adjustable floor, and the trunk lid is also 760 mm high and 1115 mm wide, which is good space in its class.
Tools and Techniques in the 2022 Nissan Juke
The entry-level Visia Juke design gives you a basic infotainment system.
And with its small monochrome screen, you get Bluetooth, DAB radio, and a USB jack.
It is still better to avoid it.

Instead, we recommend upgrading to at least the Acenta trim, which gives you a more modern 8.0-inch color touch screen.
You get better features too, including Apple Carplay and Android Auto for smartphone mirroring so you can use mobile apps on the screen.
To the N-Connecta class and above, an integrated satellite navigation system with live traffic information is added.
On the downside, the graphics on the touchscreen can be sharper, there is often lag, and some icons are relatively small and you may not be able to accurately access them on the go.
We prefer the greater ease of use and responsiveness of the Volkswagen T-Roc system.
On the plus side, the eight-speaker Bose audio system in the Tekna and Tekna+ grades, is extremely powerful and is the most powerful in its class.

However, the Juke is generously equipped with features that make your life easier, including cruise control when you’re on the go, and a rearview camera when reversing.
LED headlights and taillights are also standard, although you’ll need to traverse up to the N Connecta for the rear parking sensors and keyless entry and start.
Value for your Nissan Juke 2022
The starting price of the Nissan Juke seems very reasonable, and even the reasonably equipped top-of-the-line Acenta falls short of the SE-class on the Skoda Kamiq.
But the rise to more luxurious models increases the price by thousands of pounds, leading to the launch of the Juke in the Volkswagen T-Roc region.

Fuel economy and CO2 emissions are respectable if not class-leading, and the Juke is expected to retain its value better than the Citroen C3 Aircross, but is expected to struggle against the value of the Skoda Kamiq and T-Roc.
