There are simple but important rules to keep in mind when dealing with any car battery cable issue, so get to know them with us.
When changing or repairing any electrical parts of the car, it is necessary to start removing the negative battery cable from its place in order to avoid an electrical short in the car’s electrical circuits. Also, when changing the battery, the negative cable must first be removed and then the positive cable.
And before removing any of the battery cable, you must first make sure that the ignition switch (contact) is in the off position, and that all light switches are closed, so as not to damage the semiconductor parts in the electronic circuits of the car.
Connect two batteries
When two batteries are connected to each other, the first is empty and the other is charged, the hand brake must be used to ensure that the two cars are stopped well, then turn off the lights and any unit that consumes electricity, leaving an appropriate distance between the two cars connected to their batteries, and making sure that the connecting cables are far from each other, from the engine and cooling fans, Then we connect one end of the connection cable to the positive pole of the empty battery and the other end of the same cable to the positive pole of the charged battery.
Then we connect the end of the second connection cable to the negative pole of the empty battery and the other end of the same cable to the positive pole of the charged battery, and the engine of the car on which the healthy battery is located must be started without long pressing on the gas pedal. Where the negative end of the cable is disconnected from the empty battery and then the cable itself is disconnected from the charged battery, we disconnect the positive battery cable from the charged battery and then disconnect the same cable from the empty battery.
