One of the reasons: a massive attack on Tesla in their own home
Electric cars have so many benefits, that most electric car drivers do not return to using regular cars after owning an electric car. Tesla is currently the most famous electric car in the world, as it has produced most of what owners drive electric vehicles.
But of course it is not suitable for everyone. On this point, the famous YouTuber Tall Tesla Guy has offered five reasons why someone may not want a Tesla car. Below is a quick summary in case you haven’t been able to watch a 10-minute video. I just added one more reason Tesla missed the boy.
Tesla mini cabin
Tesla’s interiors have a sleek look but are very casual and with the exception of the big screen. The buttons and knobs are almost non-existent. This is fine for some, but others may need more styling and more buttons. People who are older than us have grown accustomed to having a lot of buttons and knobs in the car, which is what they might prefer.
And not everyone wants to control almost everything through a touch screen. Also, there will be a learning curve for new Tesla owners, as the car owner will need to learn to drive, especially if they are not tech savvy. This is almost the same as getting a new cell phone from a different brand or an advanced phone after using a button phone.
Duplicate and inferior models
Except for the upcoming Plaid+, Tesla doesn’t offer any unique or great-looking models. Like Ford, which owns the King Ranch and Raptor, Toyota has the TRD models, BMW has the M models, and GMC has the Denali. The Tesla models are very ordinary on the outside.
The company does not offer any kind of exterior upgrades to the body besides the wheels. This is not good for those who like to stand out with things like chrome, off-road wheels, tire packages, wider fenders, and noisy exhaust systems. But at Teslas , it’s all about technology like Full Self Driving (FSD) and OTA updates. And programs only.
When silence is a defect
This is one of Tesla’s biggest drawbacks for many, especially for most car enthusiasts. As there is no engine noise or vibration at all. While many like to hear the engine speed and enjoy the feeling of vibration it creates. Besides some tire and road noise,
But we find that electric vehicles are very quiet and that is boring, something that most people are not used to and some may not like. Although Teslas has a Boombox feature that allows drivers to play almost any type of sound they want through the warning system’s speakers.
Slider Tesla Design
Most EVs and Teslas look the same in order to keep wind resistance or drag to a minimum, which really increases efficiency. But the exterior design of most EVs and Teslas is very simple. And not many like the design and appearance of the Teslas and would not buy one for this reason.
Interior Design
This is mostly for drivers who are used to driving sports cars and/or compact cars. Tesla’s interiors aren’t as driver-focused as they are in cars like Corvette or Ferrari. They are powerful, fast cars with sporty and comfortable seats. Some automakers offer brand-name sports seats with large bolsters, but Tesla doesn’t. But as the video shows, Teslas cars have plenty of room, tons of small cups and cup holders, and can easily fit tall individuals.
Long trips on the road (the reason I add)
Many drivers rarely take long road trips in Tesla cars , but for the segment of the population that enjoys it, electric and Tesla cars may not make sense for them. Traveling long distances is the reason I don’t like electric vehicles.
Pausing to charge an electric car or Tesla during a trip usually makes the road trip longer and charging stations aren’t always available or located out of the way. Despite the quality of Tesla’s charging network, it is still insufficient in many areas outside of California. However, if your family has two or more vehicles, a petrol car can be taken on long trips while EVs are used around town, which is where most of us drive.
Despite the sixth reason, which is strong, some of these personal opinions may be convincing. Mercedes, for example, offers a very high-end electric car, and BMW also offers an electric car, and the last range of a single charge has reached about 770 kilometers for the shipment.
