The American company Uber launched the Uber Comfort Electric service, “the transportation service with electric cars” for the first time in several cities around the year, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Emirates of Dubai.
This service from Uber is distinguished by the fact that it offers a number of electric cars from Tesla and Polestar.
It is worth noting that this announcement by Uber came a year after it announced its partnership with car rental company Hertz, which will provide more than 50,000 Tesla cars for Uber drivers to rent by 2023.
On the other hand, Polestar, a subsidiary of Volvo, has signed an agreement with Hertz to supply 65,000 electric vehicles over the next five years.
In this regard, Uber affirmed, during its last statement, the continuation of its global commitment to become a zero-emissions platform by 2040, by taking steady steps towards the electric transition.

Uber also announced that it is providing drivers with several features alongside its platform, which include incentives to switch to electric trucks, an electric car cost calculator, and a map showing the nearest places with electric car chargers.
