The launch of the all-new Cadillac GTP supercar

General Motors’ Cadillac brand has posted a teaser video on its official Twitter account of its all-new supercar, called the Cadillac GTP, ahead of its debut on June 9.

Classified as a good looking supercar that will take into account the racing rules of IMSA and ACO regulations, this American car comes with a stylish look, bringing the sports brand back to the track.

The full design of the Cadillac Project GTP Hyper car will be revealed on June 9, and is being developed by the race car chassis builder Dallara.

• The Cadillac GTP belongs to the hybrid racing segment. It is a super futuristic car, with a sporty, agile design and exceptional aerodynamics, which distinguishes it from other Cadillac models.
• Cadillac will compete beginning in January 2023 with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at the Rolex 24 in Daytona, Italy.
• She will also race in the new GTP Grand Prix class of the World Endurance Championship, which will be open to vehicles in the Le Mans Daytona Hybrid (LMDh) and Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) series at the FIA ​​Le Mans 24 Hours of France.

• And Cadillac isn’t the only car manufacturer preparing to unveil its new supercar, the GTP will have plenty of competitors in the LMDh class.
• BMW will present its race car with a prominent version of the brand’s kidney grille, similar to the new M3 and M4, on June 6, ahead of its debut in next year’s Rolex 24 as the Cadillac GTP.
• It will also compete with other racers from Porsche, which is already testing its car on multiple tracks in Europe, sharp front-end Lamborghini, Acura, Audi, Toyota, Peugeot and Ferrari.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

• The debut, shared on Twitter, focuses on the model’s exterior, as the exterior comes with a sleek look that shares some elements and styling cues with Cadillac production cars, such as headlights and floating blades, throughout.
• During the teaser, Cadillac showed off the front end of the race car, showing off the front end of the race car with a massive front splitter that looks like it’s made of some carbon fibre.
• The teaser video also showed a corner of the car that we couldn’t see before, and it really grabbed our attention.
• We can see that it features LED headlights that are directed perpendicular to the outer corners of the front of the car in classic Cadillac style.
• The simple, somewhat flat Cadillac logo appears in white on the front of the car and the flying strut that runs between the front fender and the body above the front wheel to enhance aerodynamics.
• The photos show the rear of the vehicle, where the rear deck has another plane strut that splits the panel in half and attaches it to the body.
• On the other hand, the car’s specification includes more carbon fiber material on the small roof, and the body has a matte finish.

Interior Design

• Cadillac hasn’t released any images yet to give us a look at the Cadillac GTP’s interior, so we’ll have to wait to see what the new supercar’s interior will look like.

• Regarding the powertrain, Cadillac did not reveal any technical data for the powertrain, but confirmed that it will be a hybrid car.
• Performance numbers for the powertrain around the Cadillac GTP are still not available yet, the only details available right now are that there’s a twin-turbo V8 paired with a hybrid system, but we’re expecting impressive performance rates, no doubt.
