Ram Classic V8 Truck (Prices, Specs, Pictures)

The Ram brand has launched its latest version of the 2022 Ram 1500 Classic V8 pickup, a full-size pickup truck. Although the classic Ram isn’t as refined, luxurious, or technologically advanced as the regular model. It does, however, offer a few new truck options for less money.

This version retains the features and capabilities of the last generation, and best of all, it’s also cheaper than the regular 1500, with all-wheel drive available as an option at an additional cost, as well as the most desirable technical features.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

• Speaking of which, it comes with a distinctive pickup look, as the classic car looks familiar, as it’s the same truck that roamed the streets from 2009 to 2019.
• The Tradesman model gets basic black plastic fenders, door handles and grille, but the Express model at least comes with tinted fenders and a painted grille, and adds automatic headlights and fog lights.
• The Warlock upper comes with a blackout grille that delivers superior engine cooling, and the Ram name is written in bold black lettering, also with black accents to make it look tough.
• Plus, it has a high-strength steel frame to handle long-term use.
• The truck rides on 17-inch wheels painted in aluminium, while the top grade stands on massive 20-inch wheels painted semi-gloss black.
• The Warlock comes only in a quad or crew cab, and adds folding side mirrors, power windows, door locks, sliding rear window panel and a completely different overall exterior look, with the look of an off-road adventure.

Interior Design

• Inside, the classic style offers a vintage and understated cabin that is comfortable and relatively quiet on most road surfaces, with plenty of clever interior storage options available.
• Seats come standard in vinyl or cloth, and hard plastic is plentiful, though the interior feels solid overall.
• Internal storage is generous and well-organised, providing plenty of places to store small gear, bags and other items you need to keep close at hand.
• It offers plenty of room for passengers in the cabin, with 41 inches of headroom and front legroom each, and rear seat passengers get 39.9 inches of headroom and 40.3 inches of legroom.
• The Quad Cab trucks are slightly smaller, with 39.7 inches of headroom and 34.7 inches of legroom.
• With a spacious 5-foot-7-inch aft bed section for the crew cabin, and 6-foot-4-inch wide aft bed section for all three cabin types, it continues to offer regular cab models with eight-foot beds.

ENTERTAINMENT AND FACILITIES

• As for technology, the truck isn’t equipped with a lot of modern infotainment systems, to keep the price tag low.
• A 5-inch touchscreen display with Uconnect 3 is standard for the infotainment system and supports Bluetooth, USB, voice commands and auxiliary inputs.
• An $845 electronics package is available, which offers an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, additional USB inputs, and SiriusXM radio.

Safety and security systems

• It is worth noting the diversity of safety technologies available for this pickup truck, to enhance the confidence of the driver and passengers in general, as it provides more than 45 safety and security features as standard or optional.
• Although advanced active safety features are not available on the Classic model, including automatic emergency braking.

• In terms of performance, the truck is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI engine (5700 cc), which produces 395 horsepower and 556 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque.
• A 305-horsepower V6 is also available, and both engines are mated to a smooth-running eight-speed automatic transmission.
• The V8 delivers more power and capability but struggles with fuel economy, delivering 15 mpg city, 22 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined.
