Porsche reveals the character of Sally Carrera, the heroine of the movie Cars, in a special edition

The German luxury sports car manufacturer Porsche has revealed the character of Sally Carrera in the form of a special edition of its 911, which is the product of a joint collaboration between Pixar and Disney. From the movie Cars, bringing fantasy into reality.

Porsche and Pixar have teamed up to design a one-of-a-kind 911 inspired by the Carrera from the popular animated movie Cars.

In fact, the Sally Special 911 is a custom version of the GTS 911 and features the unique Sally Blue Metallic paintwork that was developed just for this project, with special 5-spoke rims measuring 20″ and 21″ at the front and rear.

Porsche has also provided another set of wheels designed specifically for the tracks as well, and the car owner is supposed to receive a book dedicated to explaining this car project, along with a unique watch dedicated to the Porsche 911 Sally project.

The blue color covered more interior details of the car, including the fabric seats, stitching throughout the car, the edges of the center console and the gearbox surround, in addition to the car key, where the company placed the phrase (Sally Special 001/001) on more than one place throughout the car to clarify It is unique and unrepetitive.

The car is powered by the same 473-horsepower 911 Carrera GTS engine with a 7-speed manual transmission, but unfortunately it did not get the distinctive mouth and eyes we saw in the Sally Carrera in the famous Cars movie.

We do not fail to note that this car was one of the heroes of the famous animated movie “Pixar” Cars, as it belongs to the well-known Carrera class of the German company “Porsche”, and it is expected that a single real copy will be manufactured to be sold at an auction, and its proceeds go entirely to charitable causes.

It is worth noting that the movie Cars was shown for the first time in 2006, but the design of the car began before this date, specifically in 2022 when designer Bob Pauli first imagined the heroine of the movie “Sally Carrera”, and as the name suggests, the car refers to the Porsche 911 Carrera.

Although only 16 years have passed since the release of the film Cars, the character of Sally celebrates two decades of its design, and to honor this anniversary, the film team worked with the German company Porsche to create the unique car under the name Sally Special.

At first, just by looking at the car, we can easily notice that the blue metallic color covers the unique car, as Porsche broke some design principles in the Carrera GTS, by using blue for the first time instead of black in a number of cars. From places such as the hood, as well as other places on the front and rear of the car.

We can also note a number of details of the movie’s car being applied in the real car, such as the tattoo on the rear fascia with the image of the famous Sally Carrera character, as well as the unique “Catchu Mode” button installed on the steering wheel as an alternative to the Sports Mode button.
