Specifications of the all-new electric Lotus Eletry

The Lotus Eletre, which translates the life that Chinese-owned English company Lotus, is preparing to launch, has been revealed as an all-electric sports utility vehicle.

The new Eletry features advanced technologies, improved aerodynamics, and a sculpted design with a powerful electric system.

It belongs to the high-performance four-wheel drive luxury SUV category , and is an environmentally friendly car that relies entirely on electricity to provide an enjoyable and emissions-free driving experience.

It will be presented as the first electric SUV from Lotus, it will be produced in a new plant in Wuhan and China will make up a large percentage of sales.

This vehicle is based on Lotus’s most advanced new Electric Premium Architecture (EPA) for electric vehicles.

In terms of exterior dimensions, it came with a length of 200.9 inches, a width of 78.7 inches, a height of 64.2 inches, and a wheelbase of 118.9 inches.

As for when the new car will appear, the report indicates that the car will arrive in the United States in 2024.

Pricing has yet to be confirmed, but it will likely start at $120,000.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

• Official stills show the car’s exterior design is very elegant and sculpted to make it look amazing.
• The Eletre will also get active aerodynamics and optical upgrades, with extensive use of aluminum and carbon fiber to reduce body weight.
• It includes a graceful roofline, large air vents in the fenders and wings, and a strong aluminum and steel exterior.
• Both the front and side fascia of the car come in a Lamborghini Urus-like design with a more complex Lamborghini shape, also inspired by its sports sister, the Emira.
• The front fascia can be seen with the lower grille consisting of triangular panels that opens and closes when required and the signature daytime running lights for improved visibility.
• The Lotus Eletry also features a slim horizontal design of the headlights supported by Matrix LED technology located in the darkened lower part of the fascia, as well as a bumper.
• The vehicle’s rear can be seen with a full-width LED strip on the tailgate that has the ability to display a multi-colored animation if the battery is charged with a separate triple spoiler, air vents and floating roof.
• There is a charging port in the front spoiler dedicated to charging the battery.
• The car is based on huge wheels, which have standard 22-inch wheels in most markets or optional 23-inch wheels.

Interior Design

• The cabin of the new Lotus Eletry was spotted during the official photos that were shared with a high-end design with an advanced technology system.
• The car is available in a two-row version with separate rear seats that accommodates four people in complete comfort, and a two-row version with 5 seats with a connected rear seat.
• Sport seats trimmed with high-density wool fabric for optimum driving comfort, steering wheel controls and a microfiber leather dashboard measure less than 1.2 inches in height.
• Futuristic digital instrumentation and infotainment system are available with a giant 15.1 inch OLED touch screen central to control the vehicle. A head-up display with augmented reality technology will also be available to display information on the windshield.

Entertainment and luxuries

• The car supports a range of advanced entertainment and connectivity, such as advanced connectivity and a standard surround sound experience with 15 speakers, and an optional 23-speaker KEF audio system is also available.
• Between the two rear seats is a 9-inch touch screen with wireless charging underneath.
• It includes a range of various comfort equipment and features such as a camera-based side mirror system instead of traditional side mirrors, and it will also be offered with a panoramic glass sunroof as an option.
• The car is equipped with four retractable lidar sensors as a unique light detection technology which means that it will have the ability to support autonomous driving.
• The car featured a standard air suspension system capable of raising the car by 2 inches for off-road driving, and lowering it by 1 inch to improve stability at speed.

• In terms of power, it will be equipped with an all-electric transmission (EV), the company did not reveal the full details of the powertrain, as the new car will be available in several classes with various specifications.
• The car’s powerful electric powertrain comes with a single engine mounted on the front axle, which produces at least 600 horsepower (447 kW).
• With a flagship model with 900 hp arriving within two years, a second 300 hp electric motor is installed on the rear axle, enabling it to accelerate from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 3 seconds, and a top speed of 161 mph. per hour (260 km/h).
• The vehicle is fitted with an 800-volt battery pack with a capacity of over 100 kWh of storage, targeting an electric range of up to 315 miles on a single charge using the EPA cycle (373 miles (600 km) using the European WLTP test protocol).
• Two-thirds of the car’s battery can be charged within 20 minutes using a 350kW continuous fast charger to provide power that enables the car to travel up to 400 km (248 miles).
