Leaked images online show a new Toyota 2023 bz3 sedan

Car News China has published a set of pictures online of the production-spec Toyota 2023 bz3 (Toyota bZ3 2023), after it was leaked by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

It also revealed during the leaked presentation details about the new family car, which falls under the category of sedans that rely on fully electric motors.

While the bZ3 has not been officially revealed by the Japanese brand Toyota , it is the second fully electric family car from the brand’s new bZ series, which will number 7 all-new cars.

The newest Toyota cars feature a distinctive exterior design and a zero-emissions powertrain, which we will learn about in the following lines.

• It is a new family car that will be sold in the Chinese market, its photos were leaked before it was officially revealed, and it belongs to the category of electric sedans, with two rows of seats.
• These images, showing the car from different angles, reveal that the production model looks almost identical to the bZ sedan concept that was shown last year.
• Following in the footsteps of its electric SUV sister, the bZ4X, the bZ3 electric sedan will support the company’s e-TNGA platform.
• In terms of size, the electric sedan is expected to be 4,724 meters (186 inches) long, 1,828 meters (72 inches) wide, 1,473 meters (58 inches) high, and spanning a wheelbase of 2,870 meters (113 inches) almost identical to the Camry, which makes it fall between the Toyota Corolla 2023 and Toyota Camry 2023.

• From the side, it has a unique look, which differs from other Toyota models thanks to the huge steep-sloped windshield, the short cross-shaped trunk lid and the large rear window.
• The car comes in black and white colors, where the black pillars and roof blend with glass, making it appear smaller and lighter than it actually is.
• It also has very large side windows, which add a lot of light to the cabin and make it more spacious and airy, and also a lot of heat in warmer climates.
• The car will ride on standard 16-inch no-frills wheels, while the higher grade will get 18-inch wheels, and this grade also features a higher power output.
• This design similarity continues with the Toyota bZ4X 2023 in the rear of the car, with shades from the hydrogen-powered Mirai, taillights and light bar matching those on the bZ4X.

Interior Design

• The interior of the new car has yet to be shown, during the leaked images shared that focus on the exterior design other than one quick shot.
• We can’t tell what’s in its interior, however, Driver notes that it will feature a vertically oriented infotainment screen and a steering wheel that evokes those of the bZ4X.
• There is what appears to be a digital instrument cluster placed a little deeper behind the wheel.

• Expectations indicate that the new Toyota bZ3 2023 will be offered in two versions exclusively with rear-wheel drive, either with an electric motor of 183 hp (136 kW) or 244 hp (182 kW).
• It is reported that the leaked information indicated that the maximum speed is limited to 160 km/h (100 mph) regardless of power.
• Powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries, the vehicle will use LFP chemistry with bladed battery cells developed by BYD.
• The brand did not provide official specifications on battery output, vehicle range on a single charge, or charging capacity.

How much will a Toyota bZ3 2023 cost?

• As for the price, there is no information on prices at this stage, but it is expected to be launched before the end of the current year 2022, and the date has not been officially set at the moment.
• While it is not yet known in which markets the bZ3 will be available, it is expected to be officially revealed to the world at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2022.
