Features of “Pickup EM” the first Egyptian-Emirati production car

The Egyptian Ministry of Military Production has jointly cooperated with the UAE company, M Glory, which is specialized in making trucks; Produced by the EM Pickup, an all-new Egyptian/Emirati dual-fuel truck.

The new pickup provides the best performance and combines flexibility and ease of use. It can also run on natural gas and gasoline together to preserve the environment, fight pollution, reduce harmful emissions and their negative effects on citizens and the economy, and are able to navigate all types of roads easily (crowded, open, dirt, and bumpy).

It was so named EM because the first letter E stands for the first letter from Egypt and Emirates while the second letter M stands for the first letter from Ministry Of Military Production (MOMP) and M Glory.

• It is a pickup vehicle characterized by good operating rates to keep pace with developments in the pickup sector , the truck is equipped to take on the toughest off-road tasks and to meet the daily work.
• This car comes as a step to establish an Egyptian/Emirati company to produce and manufacture cars that run on gas and gasoline with Egyptian hands under the name “The Egyptian Emirati Company for the Automotive Industry.”
• The new car has the solidity and reliability to cross rough terrain with ease and comfort, and combines practicality with greater fuel economy to provide a satisfying ride.
• The double cab measures 5,560 meters in length, 1,840 meters in width and 1,850 meters in height, while the trunk length is 1,815 meters in width, 1,520 meters in width and 515 mm in height, and can carry a load of 750 kg.
• The car underwent several driving tests in crowded places, where the double cab version of the pickup was tested on Egyptian public roads during the past three months for a distance of 25,000 kilometers.
• It will be manufactured in Military Factory 999, and the company is scheduled to establish a factory on an area of ​​22,000 square meters in Helwan.
• The new car is a great achievement for Egypt and a good step for the localization of modern technology and the localization of the automotive industry in Egypt.
• Production of the car is scheduled to start after about 8 months, i.e. in the first half of next year 2022, and about 12,000 cars will be produced per year to meet the needs of the local and African market, with the possibility of exporting them to Europe.
• The new pickup will be manufactured in different models including 2×4 double cab, 4×4 double cab and 2×4 single cab.
• About 20 Egyptian factories will supply car components to make the most of the country’s available mineral resources and wealth.

• It consumes 11.8 cubic meters of gas to cover a distance of 100 km, while it consumes 12.3 liters of gasoline to cover a distance of 100 km.
