Hyundai Elantra 2024 specifications

Exterior design

  • Hyundai revealed the latest photos of the 2024 Hyundai Elantra on its local website a few weeks ago, where the C-class sedan is known as the Avante.
  • According to Korean media, the 2024 Elantra is a mid-life facelift for the seventh-generation model, and as expected, most of the changes focus mainly on the exterior design and front of the car.
  • Visually, the car has an impressive reshaped exterior design and the sedan adopts a more serious, sporty and muscular look.
  • Noteworthy visual updates include a narrow grille that separates from the air intake below, while sporting fake air vents on either side with a black painted finish.
  • The changes focus on the front end, and the main distinguishing feature at the front is the slender headlight cluster design that is arranged horizontally, with the DRL light bar attached to a bright metallic strip.
  • The updated model wears a set of new alloy wheels with two-tone accents.
  • At the rear, the connected LED taillights remain the same as the current model, and the sharp-angled rear end design, steeply slanted rear glass, and sharp tailgate remain as the current model.
  • Notable changes lie in the sportier, more aggressive rear bumper that features a new U-shaped design, and the car name (AVANTE letters for Korean-spec model) is placed in the middle instead of to one side, a design trend that is becoming increasingly popular in many models today.
  • It comes with a rear camera mounted on the rear view mirror, shark fin antenna, and 9 paint color options.

Interior Design

  • The improved cabin doesn’t have many changes in terms of design compared to the previous generation, the easiest difference to notice is the new steering wheel, replacing the familiar three-spoke design.
  • Hyundai has also upgraded the car’s windshield to a two-layer type that provides better sound insulation.
  • The interior doesn’t see many technical changes, as the Korean automaker has kept the digital cockpit with two 10.25-inch screens on the dashboard.
  • Visual updates can also be found in a few of the new Sage Green upholstery options on the seats, center console and door trims. It is unknown if these options will only be available in the Korean-spec version or in other markets as well.
  • The C-Class also features a new function that allows drivers to unlock the car using their smartphone or smartwatch.
  • The car’s air conditioning system now contains a feature called “After-Blow”, which Hyundai introduced in 2020, and it cleans the air conditioning and reduces mold growth.
  • This special technology dries the air conditioner after the engine is turned off, as the air conditioning fan will continue to blow for an additional 10 minutes after the engine is turned off, which helps evaporate any condensation in the air passage inside the cabin and automatically allows the flow of outside air to prevent moisture build-up and growth mold.

Mechanical specifications

  • On the mechanical level, the facelifted Korean sedan is expected to be offered to customers with two powertrain options as follows:
  • The 1.6-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine generates 121 horsepower and 154 Nm of torque.
  • There is another petrol engine with the same displacement of 1.6 liters, but it generates 118.3 horsepower and pumps 152 Newton / meter of torque.

The official release date of the 2024 Hyundai Elantra
