Comparison between Toyota FCV and Chrysler 200

Toyota, the world’s largest car company, displayed at the beginning of the new year its innovative hydrogen-powered Toyota FCV.

The Toyota FCV prototype that was shown at CES has been tested extensively on the road in North America for more than a year, and Toyota says the car is hydrogen-celled and produces no carbon emissions, only water vapor from the exhaust, and completely devoid of exhaust that pollutes the atmosphere.
“We made a good car at a reasonable price and we are now building the infrastructure of convenient hydrogen fueling stations,” said Bob Carter, Vice President of Sales at Toyota. He added that the fuel cell vehicle will be launched in 2015, initially in California. That’s because Golden State will provide more than $200 million in funding to build about 20 new stations by 2015, out of a total of 40 by 2016, and 100 by 2024.
Toyota says it has long prepared for the development of the new generation of cars and has significantly reduced the cost of building a power generation fuel cell since 2002, when it began testing and developing prototypes. Toyota is seeking to cut costs by 95 percent in the powertrain and fuel tanks of the car, which will be launched in 2015.
Moreover, the size and weight of the FCV has been significantly reduced with the engine (100KW – 134hp). Another advantage of the FCV is that the vehicle will be able to provide enough energy to run a house for a week in the event of an emergency.

 new 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan is equipped with a 2.4-liter TigerShark engine that generates 184 hp and 234 Nm of torque, and it will be available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 295 hp and 354 Nm of torque.
