BMW XM 2024 Release Date

Numerous spy shots have revealed the all-new BMW XM 2024, a sports car pioneer as the brand’s pinnacle of performance capability.

Official details have not yet emerged from the Bavarian manufacturer about the date of the production car launch, but we have obtained leaked information according to a press report that the debut of the XM will be on September 27, 2022.

Almost a year after its test version was officially revealed during the month of November of last 2021, which provided a clear future view of the upcoming SUV.

The full-size, high-performance hybrid SUV models are expected to be the most powerful SUV in the brand’s history to date.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

  • As shown in the new images, which give us a clearer perspective of the car, the production XM will not stray far from the design of its concept version, with design elements drawn from the original M car and its unruly new design language that aims to distinguish it further.
  • It is clear from the new images that it features the usual front end of a BMW, which includes a prominent kidney grille surrounded by separate headlights with narrow daytime running lights.
  • The front view also shows the massive air vents, which are pushed into the outer corners of the front bumper with a lower grille opening.
  • From the side, we can get an idea of ​​the sheer size of the vehicle, which foretells of a brutal SUV, as there are some undulations on the side frame and also on the front bonnet.
  • The door handles and side mirrors come in a classic design with 23-inch sport wheels in bronze and gray.
  • The rear view of the car, which looks like a typical SUV, is spotted with slender taillights that wrap around the quarter panels and trapezoidal quad exhaust pipes below the ends of the rear bumper.
  • In addition to the Roundel rear window decals, two circles on the rear window like the iconic M1 Sport model, fog lamps at the bottom ends of the rear bumper and a powerful rear diffuser.

  • In terms of performance numbers, its test version that appeared last year is based on a plug-in hybrid powertrain, and the hybrid drivetrain comes with a 4.4-liter V-8 twin-turbocharged S68 petrol engine (4,400 CC, connected to a socket-charged electric motor, which together produces 750 horsepower (550 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque.
  • But the power and torque output figures for the production BMW XM are 106 hp and 200 Nm lower than the concept version, with 644 hp (484 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.
  • The biggest power will be the share of a more powerful model coming from BMW XM, which will be called the XM Black Label, and the torque will reach 1000 Nm.
  • This powertrain will be connected to a newly developed ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with M xDrive hybrid all-wheel drive system.
  • The new vehicle is fully electric capable of up to 30 to 50 miles (80 km) of electric range according to the European WLTP test cycle.

The price of the BMW XM 2024

  • As for the flagship SUV, it is expected to start at $130,000 and go up to $150,000 for the high-performance model with sales starting in March 2023.
