Parts whose damage increases the fuel consumption of the car

Increased fuel consumption is one of the most common problems that many cars suffer from, and apart from the traditional causes, car maintenance experts point out that there are a group of car malfunctions and parts whose damage leads to increased fuel consumption in the car.

Among the most important of these parts are the following:

1- The car air filter is damaged

If the air filter in the car is damaged, the air does not pass into the engine, and thus increases the rate of fuel consumption of the car

Sometimes this happens if there is a hole in the pipes and connections that carry air into the engine, which leads to insufficient amounts of air to arrive, and consequently, a noticeable increase in the rate of fuel consumption.

2- Double spark plugs

The weakness of the spark plugs or the spark plugs in the car leads to the lack of complete combustion of the fuel, and thus an increase in the rate of consumption.

3- Fuel injectors are damaged or clogged

Also, damaged or dirty fuel injectors lead to an increase in the rate of fuel consumption in the car, or if there are parts from it that do not work, this leads to the same problem.

4- Remove the thermostat from the car

It is one of the most common mistakes, which leads to increased fuel consumption in the car, as a result of the engine not reaching the normal engine temperature.
