The new 2023 DS 7 is an evolution of the first 100% automotive DS design and revealed in 2017, under the name DS 7 Crossback, showed a new spirit. Known for its unparalleled interiors, exquisite refinement and cutting-edge technology, the DS 7 Crossback paved the way for new developments, now embodied in the DS 7 2023.

The 2023 DS 7 has always been a popular modern French design , the DS 7 was the French president’s favorite cars, and combining that with increased global demand for high-riding SUVs seemed to be a recipe for the success of the 7. DS changed the name, dropping the word “Crossback” From the back, trim levels are trimmed.
When it comes to designing the interior cabins of the 7 of the DS we know that we are in front of the French company’s couture school, where the interiors are distinctive, with a wide range of shapes and materials used to elevate the atmosphere. The 2023 DS 7 also offers a number of high-end features, including active suspension and adaptive headlights to propel the ‘7’ further into the SUV segment.
The 2023 DS 7 is available in petrol, diesel and at least three hybrid versions (PHEV) matched with a 1.6-liter petrol engine, powered by either one or two electric motors. The most powerful hybrid PHEVs are the only cars in this segment equipped with an all-wheel drive system.
The exterior design of the 2023 DS 7
The design identity of the new DS 7 2023 consists of several striking details. The elegant 7 is further dynamized with sharper body lines and a cohesive design. The new interface is accentuated by sharper lines to develop the balance of each feature. The DS 7 2023 design team worked with the production team at the Mulhouse plant in France to achieve exceptional results in terms of quality and durability.

The front end of the 2023 DS 7 is more like a theater for the new headlights, it’s the same design as before, equipped with three optical elements that no longer rotate. Replaced by upgrading the kits to LED matrix technology, they are more powerful in both low and high beam modes. The external element alone consists of 84 photodiodes and is responsible for the high beam.

Also of note are the daytime running lights. Consisting of 33 LED lights on each side, it is covered with a clear polycarbonate surface painted in the same color as the bodywork. New DRLs surround a redesigned grille with a new grille pattern, mimicking the look of the DS 4. As a result of all the changes, the front end of the 7 looks more sophisticated than before. Perhaps the most distinctive part of the new face design is the so-called light veil, a lighting array of five translucent strips illuminated by LED lights that emerge from the body color, defining each front corner.
A slight facelift made a huge difference to the look of the new DS 7 2023. This tightened jawline, along with new lighting and new wheels, seals the entire look. The 2023 DS 7 uses a large, distinctive front grille, wide air intakes, and a high-rise exterior to give it a dominant aesthetic. On the sides are newly designed alloy wheels in sizes from 18 to 21 inches. At the rear, the rear combination lamps and the new tailgate design are centered only with DS lettering.
Interior Design for 2023 DS 7

Just like the biggest fashion houses in Paris, DS Cars pays special attention to the choice of materials and how they are handled. Through the upholstery, she created the interior surroundings of the new DS 7 2023 to make every journey different. The ultimate in elegance, the new DS 7 OPERA is available in two colors of Nappa leather: a blend of basalt black and gray pearl. On larger areas, the highest quality leather adds a natural and magical touch to the interior.
The dashboard of the 2023 DS 7
The 2023 DS 7 introduced a new upholstery that has an attractive, visual and tactile look, with the dashboard and door panels trimmed in premium Nappa leather. With no seams or joints, the 2023 DS 7 maintains the feel and look of genuine leather. The attention to detail in this interior is also evident with pearl stitching available in new colors white and sapphire, a full-grain leather steering wheel with leather-covered airbag, and “Clous de Paris” embossed inserts.
The RIVOLI interior also features a polished basalt black color with quilted edges combined with Claudia leather upholstery, which has a more visible grain of leather. The interior features PERFORMANCE LINE in a deeper black color with an all-Alcantara microfiber fabric and gold and crimson accents.
DS 7 car repair 2023
The DS 7 2023 features a stylish interior with interestingly shaped switches, elegant trim and shiny chrome drops. It has generous swathes of Alcantara covering the dash, with full leather available as an option (but expensive).

The most common feature isn’t exotic materials or the plush center console. It is a combination of a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and a customizable 12.3-inch digital display.
Quality of materials in the cabin of the DS 7 2023
In terms of quality, the DS 7’s interior looks fairly luxurious, but when you examine it closely, you’ll find that the lower joists of the dashboard are covered in hard and scratched surfaces, the same can be said for a number of its competitors.

Most of the ‘chrome’ is actually plastic – not what buyers expect in an SUV that aims for a premium, let alone competitors like the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60 in the large SUV segment with their high-end versions.
DS 7 2023 infotainment system
The infotainment system is far from perfect. The display controls just about everything, including the interior temperature setting, and this is more distracting while driving than using the buttons. The new 12-inch screen comes with a new infotainment system, Android Auto wireless function, Apple CarPlay function, and a night vision system.

Screen driver is fairly fast when switching between menus. The menus or ‘widgets’ displayed on the home screen can be customized so that you spend less time navigating between your most frequently used apps. There are fixed buttons on the bottom edge of the screen. The buttons make it easy to switch between menus, but they are small and touch-sensitive, and they can be difficult to press precisely while on the move.

Although DS keeps a bit old school. But inserting the buttons into the customizable digital display on the main infotainment screen, it brings you the most useful information, including a large map for satellite navigation.
DS 7 2023 car seats
On the plus side, the DS gives you plenty of tuning for the driver’s seat and steering wheel in the 7, so comfort won’t be an issue for the driver, especially since the higher-end luxury models come with heated seats and even massages. The driver’s seat also has plenty of height adjustments available, so when the seat setting is graded, the highest setting has a slight height.

The seat adjustments give you good visibility that suits your comfort, but visibility is good in all directions. The 7 with rear parking sensors comes standard on all models, and the Performance Line + mid-range model adds front sensors and a reverse camera.
Roominess and spaciousness in the cabin of the DS 7 2023
The DS puts things right when it comes to space and practicality in the 7. There’s plenty of room in the front for tall adults, while the rear seats offer decent legroom, and even those six feet tall will find the 7 comfortable. And if you avoid opting for a panoramic roof, there is plenty of headroom.

Our only complaint is that the floor in the back is quite high and forces you into a slightly awkward sitting position. At least there is no center hump in the floor for the middle passenger to stand on, giving plenty of legroom.
Storage space in DS 7 2023
Interior practicality is good too, with large pockets in the doors for odds and ends and a large storage bin between the front seats.
Luggage compartment of the DS 7 2023
Somewhat disappointingly, the DS 7 2023 luggage compartment is smaller than average. With a volume of 555 liters, this applies to all models. But it can still match the Nissan Qashqai by taking seven handbags.

The advantage of the DS 7 2023 is the ease of use of the variable-height boot floor. You can lower it for maximum load capacity, or you can set it level with the boot edge to facilitate loading and unloading of critical items.
Technology in the cabin of the DS 7 2023
Inside the DS 7 2023, there’s a full load of useful standard equipment, including cruise control and rear parking sensors, plus electric parking brake even on the lower-spec versions. Moving the range adds luxury packages like massage and adaptive suspension seats.
Engine Options in the DS 7 2023
As the lowest-emissions brand in Europe for the past two years and a Formula E champion, DS Motors has chosen to offer the new DS 7 with a range of power units, including three plug-in hybrids of 225 hp, 300 hp and 360 hp.

The new DS 7 E-TENSE 225 has a PureTech 180 petrol engine and a 110-horsepower electric motor fitted to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, paired with a two-wheel transmission. The new DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 300 and DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 360 offer four-wheel drive transmissions with a PureTech 200 engine as well as 110 hp and 112 hp electric motors on each axle.

It put options for the updated DS 7’s petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid engines. Depending on the market, the base option will be either a 130 hp (96 kW) diesel engine or a 130 hp (96 kW) petrol engine. At the forefront of the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), three models are available, all featuring a new 14.2 kWh battery pack.
Battery, range and charging in the DS 7 2023 Hybrid
DS Performance has tuned the 360 as a performance car. I fitted it with a BlueHDi 130 power unit. It houses a new 14.2 kWh battery, which gives up to 65 km of range on a WLTP mixed cycle, and achieves up to 81 km in an urban environment.

The charging time is two hours using a 7.4 kW charger. In keeping with the outstanding features of the DS range of cars, the new DS 7 remains one of the most efficient cars in its class, especially due to its well-controlled weight.
Driving impressions of the DS 7 2023
The DS 7 2023 range starts with a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 128 horsepower (bringing the BlueHDi 130 badge) and three plug-in hybrid electric engines (PHEVs). And the most powerful PHEV, the E-Tense 4×4 360, combines a 197-horsepower gasoline engine with two electric motors for an impressive combined output of 350 horsepower. The moderately powered E-Tense 4×4 300 and E-Tense 225 models are also available. These two will be more suitable for drivers of company cars.
DS 7 car speed 2023
The E-Tense 225 sprints in 8.9 seconds from 0 to 62 mph, which is more than acceptable in everyday driving – or even less acceleration was the 130 BlueHDi engine that managed to achieve acceleration in 10.7 seconds. The diesel engine, though slow, is smoother at top speed and is a highway cruiser.

The 300 and 360 are much better in this regard, and are much faster, so they do 0-62mph in 5.9sec and 5.6sec respectively. All DS 7 E-Tense PHEV models are default set to electric mode when cruising, providing enough smooth acceleration to navigate low-speed urban traffic.

If you decide to set it to its Hybrid mode to maximize your electric drive across a journey, progress will not be smooth. On the other hand, the 300 and 360 models can’t convincingly blend the two power sources (petrol and electric) together, nor can they match the seamless way the Lexus NX 450h is on the road.

The problem is with the reciprocating automatic gearbox, which means that when you need to move quickly, you often have to wait for the automatic gearbox and engine to work together.
Maneuverability and stability of the DS 7 2023
In fact, the DS 7 feels smoother on the highways than most, but it’s not ideal for handling or better on winding highways, as the Audi Q3 and BMW X1 feel more poised. From the elegant French 7 car.
Steering in DS 7 2023
The steering feels precise for this type of vehicle and the weighting is firm enough to guide it where it wants to go, but the mid-corner bumps and annoying gearbox habits of shifting at inopportune moments upset the DS 7 2023’s composure. It’s a shame because the grip levels are tolerable Exactly, and the car hangs bravely even if you’re in a bit of a tight spot.
DS 7 2023 Suspension
Absolute handling is of course not what large SUVs like the DS 2023 were designed for, comfort is a key objective of the car, and all PHEV hybrid versions come with Active Scan Suspension, which uses a camera to read the road surface and adjusts the suspension to suit its movement when in comfort mode.

Active Scan technology reversed? The end result of the DS 7’s performance will be 2023 more agile than the BMW X1 M Sport or Audi Q3 S Line with large alloy wheels, but potholes at lower speeds affect the 21-inch wheels. Models with 19-inch wheels that are equipped with lower-spec models help remove bumps and a little digging edge. Smaller wheels improve highway riding, and models with larger wheels make them uncomfortable.
Brake system for DS 7 2023
Brake response has improved, though, from being holding at lower speeds to being more advanced together, making it easier for you to slow smoothly to a stop. Wind noise is also well suppressed on models equipped with the Focal Audio system which brings in thicker galvanized side windows.
