Have you ever wondered how to behave with your old tires once they are disposed of? Instead of throwing them away, discover three ways to recycle tires.
At a time when our planet is being decimated by industrial pollution, recycling tires makes sense.
1- Preserve waterways and soil
first of all, garbage is full of scrap tires for you, it causes pollution of river water.
Also, when tires degrade, they produce chemicals in the soil, which pollute the environment.
2- Tires should not be burned after being used. Tyres
are often taken from landfills to be incinerated and used as a source of fuel.
This process is very polluting and releases more harmful emissions into the atmosphere than the methods used in tire recycling centers.
3- Recycling tires
Reusing gasoline Recycling tires allows reusing expensive petroleum resources that are becoming increasingly scarce and difficult to extract.
How do you recycle your tires ?
There are several ways to recycle used tires.
- It can be given to a retailer, mechanic, tire dealer or new tire dealer.
- These tires are set aside for tire recycling centers which regularly come to collect tires.
- You can also take the tires yourself to a recycling plant if it is close to home or you know where it is.
What happens in a tire recycling center ?
Once the tires enter the recycling center, they are broken down through a chemical process known as pyrolysis.
During pyrolysis, the vapors from this process can be burned and converted to fuel or condensed into an oily liquid.
This method results in a much smaller carbon footprint compared to the tire burning process.
