Volkswagen says its upcoming electric identity is old-fashioned. Buzz microbus for autonomous parcel delivery “by 2025”
Volkswagen is currently developing a Level 4 autonomous driving system for the upcoming ID. It’s called Buzz, which means to get drunk. The German manufacturer has partnered with US technology company Argo AI, with the goal of putting its self-driving electric truck on the road by 2025.
The Level 4 Autonomous Driving System will not need any driver supervision , as it must be able to respond to accidents on its own.
However, Volkswagen acknowledges that the technology still has a long way to go before it is 100 percent reliable, so it only plans to make the system available in certain cities with ID.
After launching Buzz.
Volkswagen Microbus 2025Volkswagen and Argo have already set up a test facility at Munich Airport, with the two companies planning to start the first trials on European roads later this year.
Each version being developed will be equipped with an arsenal of cameras and radar sensors, as well as the newly developed Lidar sensor from Argo AI, which will allow the test vehicles to detect objects up to 400 meters in height and range.

The alliance’s goal is to get the self-driving ID Buzzes ready for commercial delivery in 2025. The testing program hopes to get the vehicles out of test labs onto public roads later this year.

Returning to the announcement of the German manufacturer, the announcement broadcast by Volkswagen provides us with another teaser image of the ID.
Buzz, whose style doesn’t seem to have changed since we last saw her.
It features the same retro design language, inspired by the second type of the historic Faisal Microbus in the fifties of the last century that you can see on Faisal Street or Haram Street in Mahrousa Egypt,

Yes, it has taken many improvements in appearance, as the iron version of the
microbus comes with a new dome in the roof, which is supposed to contain the lidar sensor for the self-driving system.

It seems that he visited Faisal and Haram Streets in Egypt, and was taken by the nostalgia for that version of the Volkswagen Microbus that roams along the two streets. Speaking during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Oliver Stefani, Head
of Design at Volkswagen , told Auto Express: “We would like to bring back [the microbus] Again because it fits perfectly with what the brand stands for.. it’s passionate, it has jobs, it makes life easier.”
And I bet he rode a Volkswagen microbus and made a tour on Haram Street.
The Volkswagen 2025 microbus is the exact Faisal and Haram microbusAnd about the new version of the Volkswagen microbus, Stephanie added: “The microbus comes with the MEB platform, and now is the opportunity to restore the proportions,” referring to the fact that you do not need an engine in front with the EV canal.
“But you also get a lot more interior space, it’s almost a class higher.”
Volkswagen ID.
The concept of tinnitus in detail

Volkswagen describes the identifier.
Buzz as a vehicle that “transports the feel of the microbus into the future”.
A vehicle inspired by the design of that iconic Type 2 truck, it shares its sharp nose, large VW spins and two-tone paint.
However, the space-age interior, complete with massive 22-inch alloy wheels and adorned with LED wraparound headlights, modernizes the design.

Its design certainly fits in with the rest of Volkswagen’s identifiers.
In the same range – which of course is not like its older and older siblings, as it will rely on MEB’s custom electric underpinnings.
The chassis will be extended in different proportions depending on the size of the new truck, providing a 3.3-meter wheelbase and short overhang, but the electric motors and battery packs must be carried.

The wheel design at each corner gives identity.
Roaring space for a flexible eight-seater cabin, with multi-adjustable rear seats and a driver’s seat that swivels 180 degrees.
The last action occurs automatically at the independent identifier.
Pilot mode is selected, retracting the one-piece capacitive touch steering wheel while the vehicle is in full control of driving.

Other technologies include a head-up display for augmented reality and a removable vertical tablet that controls vehicle functions.
Volkswagen had unveiled the identity for the first time, which we later learned to be a microbus.
According to the Buzz concept presented by the German manufacturer back in 2017, it was two electric motors.
The base van was to get a rear-wheel drive option with a single engine of 268 hp, with that flagship microbus getting a 369 hp four-wheel drive system.

We’ve spent four years in the future now, based on our current Volkswagen ID.
Depending on the scope, the brand aims to chase manufacturing efficiencies wherever possible.
So, the production version of the identifier.
Buzz’s tech will likely feature the same powertrain as that found in the ID.4 SUV, starting with a single-engine 201-hp system, and possibly the 295-hp GTX-badged engines with variable all-wheel drive. .

Volkswagen said in the original ID card for the new microbus.
The Buzz Concept can sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just five seconds, and reach a limited top speed of 99 mph, though those numbers are expected to change for the production model.

The concept’s maximum range for this microbus was rated at 373 miles in the old NEDC test program, and while this would also reduce the production model as it would be subject to a new meter (and thanks to the more stringent WLTP gauge), range should be no more than 300 miles and probably the number possible.

Although the identity has not been officially confirmed.
Buzz is also expected to serve as a stand-alone lead for VW’s new competitor to Uber, MOIA.
It is a taxi company, which was founded in 2018 and plans to steadily expand its operations over the next five years, becoming the first brand to use a self-driving truck in 2025.
Buzz Microbus will be revealed on March 9, 2022. It will arrive in the United States in 2023 in its three-row passenger van configuration. Pricing is expected to start around $40,000, and both single- and dual-motor version should be available.
