Learn about the fastest hybrid cars ever tested
Hybrid cars have been around for a long time now. The first mass-produced hybrid car, the Toyota Prius, was launched before the turn of the new millennium and was a huge sales success for the world’s largest automaker.
And while the vast majority of hybrid vehicles have had their main focus on fuel economy, some clever engineers have recently used hybrid technology to make cars even (slightly) more efficient and (slightly) slower. We have previously provided you with a list of the specifications and prices of hybrid cars in Egypt .
Acceleration is calculated at a cruising speed of 0-60 miles
The Porsche 918, Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 might be the trio of cars that immediately come to mind here, but there are plenty of other fast hybrids on the market.
Fortunately, we were able to get a lot of data and explain it, and we reviewed a lot of car tests everywhere in the world, and we conducted an in-depth process of searching many sites and data about cars and tests, in order to find the fastest-growing hybrid cars.
We calculated the acceleration time from 0 to 60 miles, which is equivalent to 96.56 kilometers per hour, meaning that this list of hundreds of cars, all tested only, there is no measure other than the experience only .. Let’s start.
2019 Volvo S60 T8 Polestar – in 4.5 seconds

Are you looking for a fast hybrid car while also focusing on safety? Well, you are in luck. The fastest launching car we tested was the Volvo, which featured a plug-in hybrid engine. The S60 T8 Polestar Engineered is also powered by a twin-charged four-cylinder engine.
Combined with a plug-in hybrid, it produces 415 horsepower and 494 pound-feet of torque, or 669.77 Nm. Together, the systems offset the car’s 4,400-pound weight, and go from 0 to 60 miles (96.56) in a time of 4.5 seconds.
2019 Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4matic+ in 4.1 seconds

This is Mercedes- AMG. It’s the only mild hybrid car on this list. Although it’s not a fully hybrid, the 48-volt electrical engineering that pervades Mercedes’ lineup shows that apart from being able to power more electronics, the higher voltage systems also have performance advantages. In CLS 53,
The 48-volt system powers an electric motor that can spin the compressor and instantly add up to 7 pounds of boost. As a result, the six-straight in the CLS 53 clocks it up to 60 in just 4.1 seconds.
Note: There are three other AMG 53s that would make it to this list, but the engine they use is basically the same but in a different state of tuning. The E 53 AMG Coupe accelerated from 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds, as did the AMG GT 53 4-Door in 5 seconds.
2015 BMW i8 in 3.8 seconds

The BMW i8 didn’t necessarily revolutionize the sports car, but it did make sports hybrids more accessible than the P1 or the 918. It costs about a tenth of the price of the P1 when new, and is just 1.2 seconds slower than the acceleration to 60 miles. Not bad for a car that only had a three-cylinder engine and got 95 mpg combined.
2020 Polestar 1 in 3.8 seconds

Possibly the fastest thing to come out of Sweden in a long time, the Polestar 1 is a hybrid supercar that, despite its 5,000-pound weight, will crush hostile cars with a 0-60 sprint in 3.8 seconds. GT credential competition I forgot to tell you something important. They only produce 500 per year for three years, so you won’t see this car on the road very often.
2018 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo in 3.7 seconds

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is designed for people who want luxury, power and the all-important Porsche badge. It’s not the fastest sedan in the Panamera range, but it offers the lowest possible barrier to entry to savor the charm of the Porsche e-hybrid. The 4 E-hybrid finishes the 0-60 sprint in just 3.7 seconds, faster than a lot of well-meaning sports cars.
2017 Acura Acura NSX during 3.1 seconds .

The new NSX always draws comparisons to the original car that Ayrton Senna was famous for helping to develop. Compared to that car, the new one is a technology touring. A twin-turbo V-6 eight-cylinder engine connects three electric motors. All that grunt and power combined help the NSX Hybrid sports car to smash distances from zero to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
2018 Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo – In 2.8 seconds

Do you have a need for speed and three passengers? The Panamera range has you covered. Despite weighing two more than the Mazda Miatas, the heavyweight Porsche hits 60 mph in less than half its length — an impressive 2.8 seconds compared to the Mazda’s 5.7 seconds. For being such a pig, that’s insanely fast.
2014 McLaren P1 in 2.6 seconds

The third fastest hybrid we’ve ever tested is the McLaren P1. The 904 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque somewhat overwhelm the rear rubber at the start, the reason being a little slower than 0-60 times 2.6 seconds. But once it’s hooked up, P1 flies. It completes the quarter mile in 9.8 seconds. It also joins the LaFerrari as one of only two cars tested by MotorTrend that goes from 0-100 in under 5 seconds.
2015 Porsche 918 Spyder in 2.4 seconds

The Porsche 918 is a modern marvel. It combines smoothness with a hybrid, has a V-8 engine and looks like a flat-plane derived from racing cars, and it produces a high-performance and powerful generation, described as a masterpiece of 887 hp four-wheel drive. Thanks to the traction power of the all-wheel drive (AWD) system, the 918 from Porsche launches,
Acceleration from 0-60 is achieved in 2.4 seconds. At that time, it was the fastest car tested by several parties, including MotorTrend, as chosen by others, and it showed its ability to start from rest, reaching a speed of 60 miles in just 2.4 seconds. If you subtract the wattage, it is related first to the last car in this list. It is the first to participate with Ferrari LaFerrari, but there is another advantage for Ferrari
2015 Ferrari LaFerrari in 2.4 seconds

The Ferrari, the car of the richest people in the world , the LaFerrari is tied for the title of the fastest hybrid car ever tested out of 918 cars tested. .
However, it is still the fastest rear-wheel drive car I’ve ever tested. Since 2015, MotorTrend says about this test: We took our test equipment to the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello and clocked just 2.4 seconds when accelerating from 0 to 60 miles (96.56 km/h) as the Ferrari LaFerrari completed a quarter of A mile in just 9.7 seconds in Fiorano. This sparkling quarter-mile time is a MotorTrend record that will likely hold for a long time to come.
