The American company, Tesla, is currently discussing several offers to buy a semiconductor factory from several countries: Taiwan, South Korea, and the United States as well, and this was known to news through a group of sources working in this field.
There are sources denying that it is difficult for Tesla to implement this step and to buy a factory for the latest generation of chips available in factories in Taoyuan and South Korea because it is very expensive.
There are damages resulting from the chip shortage crisis on car factories, which were forced to work at a minimum level of manufacturing or stop it completely, which also led to a decline in the percentage of sales in cars of up to 5%, according to Fitch statistics.
Tesla announced last year its intention to make some parts that it uses in the manufacture of electric cars, such as the battery, to be self-sufficient, before the semiconductor crisis, because the company has a team specialized in manufacturing chips in electric cars.
