General Motors resumes full production of the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX in Korea

General Motors suffers from a lack of chips.. The crisis is still ongoing and casts a shadow over all the car manufacturers in the world

An ongoing shortage of microchips has forced automakers to abandon production facilities around the world, including General Motors, which has scaled back production of the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX at its plant in Bupyeong, South Korea. Fortunately, it was recently announced that General Motors will once again resume full production of the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX in Korea.

According to a recent publication,
General Motors said it will return its Bupyeong 1 car assembly plant in South Korea to full capacity on May 31.
After the Bupyeoung facility was forced to operate at 50% capacity on April 26 due to a microchip shortage.
It should be noted that the South Korean facility builds the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX models for export to the US market.

The Bupyeong Factory was first opened in 1962, and is located in Bupyeong-gu District, Incheon, South Korea.
The factory also produces three models, namely: Buick Encore, Chevy Malibu, and Chevy Trax.

According to a statement posted by
GM , GM will also resume production of the Chevy Camaro at its Lansing Grand River, Michigan, facility earlier than expected, and is scheduled to begin on June 21.
The facility has been idle since May 10, and it also produces Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT5, both of which will resume production on June 28.

It is reported that there is a global crisis in production facilities caused by the global shortage of microchips Fairfax Assembly and the lack of products at its factories in Kansas, the CAMI assembly plant in Ontario, the Ramos Arizpe Assembly plant in Mexico, and the San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico.

It was recently estimated that
General Motors lost about 278,000 units of production due to a shortage of microchips .
To keep profitable full-size SUVs as well as pickup trucks, GM has adopted a “build timid” strategy in which incomplete models are produced and stockpiled while waiting for more chips to arrive to complete them.

Starting at $25,595. Highs Handsome styling, fairly practical interior, high-value price tag. Lows Cabin isn’t upscale enough, poky three-cylinder engines, lacks driving enjoyment. Verdict When compared to mainstream small SUVs the Encore GX is a winner, but against premium models it falls well short of a touchdown.
