Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new concept called “EQT”, short for “All-Electric Pickup Truck”. You can also think of it as an acronym for “All Electric Family Desirable Wheels”. or something like that. It’s a pickup truck aimed at families who love weekend trips and pack a lot of luggage:

Welcome then to the upcoming Mercedes-Benz EQT , previewed with this beautiful concept. And while it’s all electric – Mercedes EQT being an electric sub-brand of Merc – petrol and diesel versions will likely be available as well.

Mercedes EQT concept and model presentation
Daimler has
revealed the Mercedes EQT , the pure electric alternative to the Mercedes T-Class.
The electric small car from the luxury German brand is only a concept, but it is so close to the final product that it will probably hit showrooms next year.
We can only hope that the design of the “close to series production” concept will carry over to the “truly the ultimate series production” truck, because it is easy and looks soothing on the eye.
There’s a big, flat face in a star pattern with narrow, sharp LED headlights that look like a girl’s blurry eyes, but have good proportions in their overall shape.

We have
attempted to accurately predict production vehicle elements such as the radio antenna at the front , traditional door handles, the position of the door mirrors, traditional roof rails, fender badge, windshield wipers, headlights and bumper, and a realistic alloy wheel in order to analyze the vehicle to arrive at the final design.
Mercedes EQT maintains the V-Class formula
With the all-new EQT electric car, Daimler will be reusing the V-Class formula in a smaller segment, and with this concept Mercedes has promised a new level of quality.
With a spacious and flexible interior, the car carries all the usual standards of safety, value, connectivity and comfort.

As expected, the Mercedes EQT has a compact and curvy design.
Jordan Wagner, chief design officer for Daimler, said the new MPV’s look embodies elements of a sensual design theme characterized by purity.
The highlight of the sensual deck design is the graceful front end that gives it an emotional appeal.
It also has a massive black V-shaped grille (closed grille) that’s connected to slim LED headlights that flow smoothly out of the hood that I liked and felt like blurry eyes.

In this MPV look, these sliding doors discover seating for up to seven, although they are infinitely configurable, as with such vehicles.
“It will appeal to families and all customers, regardless of age, and we target those who enjoy leisure activities and need plenty of space and maximum versatility,” explains Marcus Prichwerdt, President of Merc van.
The concept Mercedes EQT is approximately 4,945 mm long, 1,863 mm wide, and features sliding doors.
There are three rows of seats in the luxury electric van, and the cabin is well-lit by natural light by day, thanks to the panoramic sunroof.
The third-row seats can not only be folded, but also completely removable.

The car has a panoramic roof, while the inside is really very clear;
It is old-fashioned, perhaps, given Mercedes-Merc’s modern adventures in interior structure and design.
No flat screen 78 hectares with mood sensing technology and the ability to send WhatsApp messages to Mars.
Of course I play with you, so instead of a wild imagination,
There is a simple driver layout with two rotating discs: one for the speedo and one for the charging.
There are also tuning wheels for physical climate control, physical buttons and a small, high-resolution display floating above the center console.

The interior of the seven-seater electric truck is quite familiar and reminiscent of Mercedes compact passenger cars.
The instrument cluster, a/c vents and the dashboard have been rounded to match the slim exterior.
Mercedes EQT specifications according to Daimler
We believe that the specifications of the Mercedes EQT will be the same as that of the Renault Kangoo Z.
The all-new Kangoo ZE has a 44 kWh battery pack that provides a range of about 265 km (WLTP) tests, and it supports charging up to 75 kW (80% charge in 42 minutes).
It uses an electric motor that generates 75 kW (102 hp) and 245 Nm.

The Mercedes EQT will have a unique position.
With its birth in the Mercedes-Benz Trucks division, it will expand the German automaker’s range of electric trucks.
The Mercedes EQT will be positioned as an entry-level model for families and active personal car buyers to spend their leisure time entering the Mercedes-Benz family.

Daimles sells three electric trucks , the eVito, eSprinter and EQV and will complement this with the production of the Mercedes Citan electric car and finally the production of the model we are talking about which is the Mercedes EQT.
According to a report by mbpassionblog, the Mercedes T-Class will be launched in Europe from Spring 2022 (March-May 2022).
The T-Class and EQT emerging from the Citan platform will be relatively better equipped and geared towards luxury lifestyle, targeting a customer group known there as VW Caddy Group in Europe.

Let’s go back to November 2018, and remember that the Renault group announced that it would invest 450 million euros in the Maupej plant over the next five years (2019-2023) to make it a “center of expertise” in the field of small-size vehicles.
The plant will likely use this investment to make Mercedes trucks as well.
It will launch next year, so expect more information in due course.
Still want that SUV?
The Mercedes EQT was introduced in production form, to be launched in 2022.

 The 2022 Mercedes-EQ EQS 450+ starts at $102,310, and the 2022 Mercedes-EQ EQS 580 4Matic begins at $119,110.
