The GMC Canyon AT4 is all new.. with the possibility of a four-wheel drive and a ten-speed transmission
Earlier this month, GM body spies caught the upcoming 2023 GMC Canyon undergoing testing for the first time. This model appears to have finished in the range-topping Denali segment, as evidenced by the bright chrome wheels and low-hanging chrome plates. Today, we spot another prototype that looks like the off-road Canyon AT4.

And despite the fact that this 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 prototype is covered from bow to aft in a large amount of vinyl camouflage, we can clearly see that it has an absolutely imposing front. There are also signs of an upgraded exterior design with an aggressive flat profile under all this camouflage, including the prominent fender flares and aggressive front fascia. We also note that this prototype does not have any running boards, unlike the lower-suspension chrome units seen on the Canyon Denali model. We anticipate that the 2023 Canyon AT4 will be offered without running boards as standard for optimal off-road clearance, while a range of bolted units will be offered as an option.

Additionally, this prototype features high definition front-end processing. In fact, some camouflage slipped off the front bumper cover and wheel. So that we can make sure that the facade will provide a good angle and attractive design.
At the top of the front end of the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 is a set of alternating headlights with the signature LED at the top followed by what appears to be a vertically oriented light source. This arrangement is similar to what we saw on the 2023 GMC Sierra HD models and model. Additionally, this front setting is significantly different from the configuration on the 2023 Chevy Colorado, which gets a set of horizontally directed, raised beams close to the general lighting arrangement seen on the Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

This 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 prototype features a set of Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, the same rubber used in prototypes of the upcoming Chevy Silverado ZR2 Trail Boss models. The Maximum Traction MT tires feature a unique design for increased sidewall stability and are generally more aggressive than the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires used on the current version of the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4.
These wheels are surrounded by a set of 20-inch silver wheels with black accents. Contrary to what one might expect upon hearing these dimensions, those 20 inch wheels don’t result in a low sidewall. Instead, the tires on the prototype were metered at a healthy LT265/60R20, with gauge estimates putting the tires at 32.5 inches. This size is slightly longer than the 31″ DuraTrac tire used on the current Canyon AT4.
GMC Canyon AT4 محرك Engine

As previously reported by GM, the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 will ride on an updated version of GMC’s existing mid-size platform GMT-31XX, which will be called the 31XX-2. The car will get an all-new exterior and interior design, along with an all-new engine in the form of a 2.7-liter I-4 L3B turbocharged petrol engine that is currently available on the Sierra 1500. In this implementation, the engine is a four-cylinder booster, and will produce 310 hp and 348 hp. pound-feet of torque. It will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission from General Motors.
GMC’s mid-size pickup truck will also adopt GM’s new global electrical engineering – known as the Vehicle Intelligence Platform, or VIP. Besides allowing for over-the-air (OTA) updates for all vehicle systems, the Global B also allows for the latest in infotainment and active safety technologies.

Manufacturing of 2023 GMC Canyons, including the AT4 Canyon, will continue at GM’s Wentzville, Missouri plant along with the new 2023 Chevy Colorado model. GM has invested $1 billion in this facility specifically for new mid-size pickups.
Sales are targeted for 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 plan that will include all three North American countries, including the United States, Canada and Mexico. It is also possible that the next generation of the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 will be available in the Middle East, which is the only remaining market outside of North America where the General’s GMC brand has a large presence and high sales.
2023 GMC Canyon Crew Cab PricingThe 2023 Canyon will likely continue to offer a choice of two cabin and cargo bed sizes, with 4-wheel-drive (4WD) optional on all trims. A range-topping model like the all-terrain-oriented AT4 or luxury-themed Denali should start at roughly $40,000 and $43,000, respectively.
