Mercedes-Benz has launched its new all-electric concept car, the Vision EQXX.

It was first revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January of this year with a claimed range of 621 miles (1,000 kilometers) per charge.

This electric sedan comes with a good appearance with a futuristic design that combines emissions-free driving, high efficiency and many great features, we will learn about these specifications during this report.

Mercedes Vision EQXX

The Mercedes vision eqxx belongs to the class of sedans and is able to cover long distances on a single charge, characterized by battery efficiency and smooth infotainment system with a design aimed at minimal environmental impact.

It is a completely electric car to conserve the environment, and weighs 3,869 pounds, which is light for an electric car.

Future production series cars will ride on a modular small platform EV called the MMA, but it is not known what features these cars will receive.

The production car is likely to be able to compete with other luxury electric cars such as the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT and Tesla Roadster.

mechanical specifications

  • The car’s electric drivetrain is made up of a 240 horsepower (180 kW) engine with an electric range of over 1,000 km.
  • The car is powered by a modern passive cooled lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 100 kWh.
  • The futuristic electric car has completed 1,008 kilometers (626 miles) during a trip from the Mercedes Electric Program Center in Sindelfingen, Germany, to the Mediterranean community in the French municipality of Cassis, crossing the Alps on a single charge.
  • This was among the longest distances traveled by an electric vehicle on a single charge.
  • The ultra-dynamic EQXX made the trip on a single charge, consuming just 8.7 kWh per 100 km (7.14 kWh per 62 km).
  • The primary goal was to build an electric vehicle that would consume less than 10 kWh of energy per 100 km (6.2 miles per 100 kWh) and it did just that.
  • At the end of the trip, the car indicated that it had another 15 percent left in its battery, enough for 140 km (87 miles) of range left, proving that it had a true range of 1,150 km (715 miles).
  • The record-breaking electric car made the trip across several European cities in cold, rainy conditions, with temperatures ranging from 3 to 18 degrees, despite its low-resistance tires and minimal insulation.
  • The car reached speeds of 140 km/h (87 mph) on the highway with an average speed of just under 90 km/h (56 mph).
