For these reasons.. you should return the thermostat to your car in the winter season

Thermostat, one of the most important parts in the car that protects it from many faults, and its role is to allow cooling water to pass out of the car engine in the direction of the radiator, and this happens if the engine temperature reaches a certain level, and this degree ranges between 80 to 90 Degree.

What happens when you turn off the thermostat in the car?

When the thermostat in the car is turned off, the water keeps circulating randomly between the engine and the radiator, causing a lot of damage to the car’s engine.

Among these damages are the following:

  • Unstable engine temperature

In the event that the thermostat is not available in the car engine, this will lead to the engine not reaching the desired level, and consequently the engine performance will not be stable as a result of the engine temperature not reaching the required level, and this also results in an increase in the car’s fuel combustion rate.

  • Increase the fuel consumption of the car

Where the temperature of the engine is one of the most important factors that help control the rate of car fuel consumption, when the engine temperature reaches a certain limit, the car computer adjusts the amount of fuel so that it reduces it as much as possible.
Therefore, we note that cars that are not equipped with a thermostat consume a lot of fuel compared to other cars.

  • Increase in car fumes

This happens as a result of the lack of good combustion of fuel in the car, and thus an increase in the volume of fumes that exit the exhaust system in the car.

  • The oil is not doing its job inside the engine

As for the reason for this, it is due to the fact that the engine oil is intended to work according to a certain temperature to obtain the best performance, but when the engine does not reach this temperature, the engine oil cannot do its job to the fullest.
In the end, specialists advise not to remove this important part of the car, not in the summer or winter, to avoid the engine’s exposure to previous damages.
