New in the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022
The latest Mitsubishi lineup wasn’t our favorite despite its hefty prices, and now with the all-new generation I’ve got a lot to say about the redesigned 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander.
It has been significantly improved over its predecessor and is well worth checking out if you are shopping for a good car.

And
Mitsubishi has upgraded almost everything in the new Outlander.
Even the steering will give you a better sense of the road, safer handling , and inside you’ll find it quieter and more comfortable.
The Japanese manufacturer succeeded in designing the Mitsubishi Outlander for the year 2022 and awarded it:
More interior space and cargo capacity
Improved infotainment system and safety features
V6 engine is no longer available
With this new design begins the fourth generation of Outlander
2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Engine Performance

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.
It’s exclusively mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
It’s front-wheel drive as standard, there’s only one all-wheel drive model, and the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander’s powertrain was more competitive than other compact crossovers, but it felt less responsive and slacker at higher highway speeds, thanks to the transmission the movement.
The exterior design of the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022
The new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander builds on the new Nissan Rogue fundamentals as well for 2021;
The two SUVs have the same engines and share other mechanical features.
But Mitsubishi has put its own mark and role on the car, with a Land Rover-inspired design and a third-row seat.
This third row has a lot of seats too small, so something like the Honda Pilot would be a better option, and if you really need an SUV with three rows of seats.
It’s the car for you, there are only a few small SUVs that offer a third row and come in handy.
Interior Design for Mitsubishi Outlander 2022

The interior of the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is similar to that of the Nissan Rogue.
The driver’s seat offers multiple adjustments, and drivers of both tall and short stature can find the perfect driving position.
But I was amazed to find that the front passenger seat can be adjusted back only and forward and aft only.

The disadvantage of the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is that it is difficult to get in and out of the front seat, and adults may also have difficulty getting into the back seat.
The seat is held in a fairly high position, so you will likely have to bend over to avoid hitting your head.
While the front and second rows are fairly roomy, the third row has little legroom.
Really, it’s virtually useless to anyone taller than a child.
The spaciousness and spaciousness of the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022

O no.
There isn’t much legroom in the third row, so long flights may not be comfortable for a family of six.
But storage space behind the second row is generous, offering 33.5 cubic feet of legroom.
There is also plenty of room for the luggage compartment, with the second and third rows folded.

The Outlander also has plenty of places to store your things.
Like the small drawer under the dashboard in the middle area if you’re not charging your phone, as well as rather small back door pockets, and so are the cup holders.
And if you need to install child seats, watch your fingers as you tie the ropes.
They are hidden behind narrow slits behind the seat and enclosed in sharp plastic.
Riding comfort in the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is really comfortable to ride with its seats, the front seats are well-padded, and can keep passengers comfortable even on long trips.
What is very special about the Mitsubishi Outlander is that it is one of the few vehicles with climate controls available for rear passengers.
The heated seats also get very warm at the highest point.
In addition, the wind and road noise are not visible and unobtrusive, but you will definitely notice engine noise when accelerating.
Technologies in the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022
Technology in the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander includes a bright touch screen interface and easy-to-learn menus.
The Outlander’s integrated navigation system works well, although its ability to search for points of interest is not very large.
I liked the Bose premium sound system, it’s very good, but can produce a little distortion at higher volume levels.

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander comes with Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity.
But I noticed frequent errors when trying to connect the iPhone during the test.
I also don’t like the voice command control system in the infotainment system;
This requires following a strict command structure, and in our tests, the system often failed to understand voice commands.
Impressions of driving a Mitsubishi Outlander 2022

The low point in the Outlander’s rating is its powertrain.
Although the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine has decent power specifications, on the test track, the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander with all-wheel drive sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 9.7 seconds.
That’s very slow, and aside from acceleration, the Mitsubishi Outlander is a nice car with good agility and composure, the steering wheel packs just the right amount of weight, and the body remains fairly firm when taking fast mountain turns.
It takes turns and corners without being noticed by the passengers behind you.
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander’s steering is well weighted, its body movements are beautifully controlled, and its ride feels good.
But I noticed the lack of insulation, which allowed a lot of road noise into the cabin.
I also noticed and liked the brake pedal’s smooth feel and performance, coming to a complete stop from 70 mph after 172 feet.
Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 infotainment system

The new Outlander offers an 8.0 touchscreen, and some models have a 9.0-inch screen, both of which can pair with different phone systems, but only an icon allows users to connect their iPhones wirelessly.
There are charging ports in the central area under the dashboard, and the system features hard buttons and physical knobs for volume and adjustment.
Additional infotainment features available include a 10-speaker Bose audio system, wireless device charging, and remote access to the vehicle via the Mitsubishi Connect app.
Fuel Economy 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander

The 4WD Outlander has an EPA-estimated 26 mpg (24 city/30 highway).
And the results are real, the Outlander is more fuel efficient than its three-row rivals, and gives 3 miles more than all classes per gallon, and the two-row SUV was, of course, more efficient.
Money for Mitsubishi Outlander 2022
The value of the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander depends on whether you really need its third row.
This is useful on rare occasions, but is not suitable for adult passengers.
Almost every other two-row SUV is less expensive than the Outlander.

The cost of the Mitsubishi Outlander is about the same as the Volkswagen Tiguan.
But the Outlander is less expensive than the Kia Sorento, with a more spacious third-row feature.
And if you want a decent car with great features at an affordable price, the Outlander will meet your expectations. It suffices to remind you of the very high-end materials used in its cabin.
Safety and driver assistance features for the Mitsubishi Outlander 2022

Available with driver assistance technology that includes adaptive cruise control and a semi-autonomous driving mode, the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander features a convincing array of technologies.

Despite the absence of free maintenance, their initial protection plans are the same length as the protection plans from Kia and Hyundai.
As follows:
The limited warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles
Powertrain warranty covers 10 years or 100,000 miles
No free scheduled maintenance
Five years of roadside assistance with no mileage limit.
Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 Models

Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 is a small three-row SUV.
It is sold in five models: ES, SE, SE Launch Edition, SEL, and SEL Launch Edition.
They are all powered by a four-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
Most trims come standard with front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive is optional, which the Japanese manufacturer calls Super All-Wheel Control or S-AWC.
It is only available on the SEL Launch model.
Best Model in Mitsubishi Outlander 2022
All three base models have something to offer, and we think they all justify their pricing.
The ES model comes with a lot of great features and it doesn’t cost much.
Having said that, I think it’s worth spending a little more than the price of the SE model.
This will give you a power tailgate, keyless entry and Mi-Pilot’s suite of driver assistance technologies.
