The Audi A6 e-tron concept debuted as the brand’s four-ring vision to compete with the Tesla Model S and rival Nio ET7, and at the recently opened 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, Audi gave an exclusive presentation showing what the design of its commercial version could look like.

Audi and other manufacturers used to offer concepts that represented 90 percent of a potential production model.
The
German automaker’s latest
A6 E-Tron EV is another example, so with some tweaks made to the official images, we can get a good idea of what the production model will look like.
And according to Audi’s statements to the
Web site, we are renewing the production specifications of the all-new A6 E-Tron. I showed it in the Audi A6 E-Tron café.

In the production version, Audi also ditched
the illuminated Audi front badge, widened the headlights a bit, and removed the E-Tron script from the bottom of the bumper as well, due to the fact that no current production Audi electric has anything similar.
What’s not modified are the side pods that house the rear-view cameras, since Audi already has something similar available for its production models (albeit as an option).
Audi has yet to confirm its Audi A6 E-Tron as a production model, although it has to be said, even the fact that the automaker chose to name the concept the A6 is a strong hint that it will go into production.
And the manufacturer hasn’t shown any pictures of the interior yet: maybe it’s too close to production and doesn’t want to show it, or the study didn’t contain a picture at all.
Why will the Audi A6 E-Tron compete with Tesla

The big
news about the release of the Audi A6 E-Tron is that it is the first car from the Volkswagen Group to ride on the new personal protective equipment platform jointly developed by Audi and Porsche.
It will also support the all-electric Macan (which will be a completely different vehicle from the next-generation petrol-based Macan), as well as the left-hand electric crossover called the Audi Q6 E-Tron.
It is worth noting that Audi designs the Audi A6 E-Tron concepts very close to production, and I think the design is no different from the production car.
And Audi may make minor changes to the final car that don’t stray too far from the design concept revealed in Shanghai this week.

The Audi A6 E-Tron electric will do away with the logo-rear light in the front, but will have a glossy monocoque frame and slightly larger headlights, to improve visibility. According to the improved design, the Audi electric has a curved blade with strong lines under the closed upper grille (single frame) Matching vertical blades on either side of the air inlets will remain, enhancing the design further.
We didn’t keep the “e-tron” inscription on the lower grille in the final design, and we see how other pure electric Audi e-tron models moved into production.
The trapezoidal unit would look like the feature of 21-inch 10-spoke wheels, and the wheels would be two-tone,

On the reason for reducing the 22-inch wheels in the concept, Audi said: They are intended for better handling and reduced noise.
We have kept the virtual mirror technology.
The value of the drag coefficient must apply to a road-ready car, and the new Audi electric has digital mirrors that will not be changed in the production model.
The door handles, antenna and front sensors will remain the same.

The Audi emission-free commercial sedan is expected to come
on the PPE platform with two different battery pack options, one likely to be the Audi e-tron GT with 85 kWh (net) and the other 93 kWh (net). Total) 800 volts lithium-ion unit.

Officially, the electric A6 e-tron is expected to offer a range of more than 700 km according to standard WLTP tests, with acceleration from 0-100 km/h confirmed in less than four seconds.
One can expect the convenience of recharging the battery pack from 5 to 80% SoC in under 25 minutes with 270kW fast charging also supported.
The production Audi A6 e-tron may arrive in European showrooms in the second half of 2022.

How much is the A6 e-Tron?What’s the Audi A6 e-tron price? As it’s an all-new model, we don’t have too much to compare it to but it likely will compete with the Tesla Model S and (fellow VW member) Porsche Taycan, as well as the Lucid Air. That puts it in the $80,000-$100,000 range, depending on features and specs
