You’ll enter under the newly unveiled Tonale badge in the Alfa squad.
Alfa Romeo is now under the umbrella of the big Stellantis, and the new group plans to invest in the Italian brand during the current decade. The automaker is already expanding its lineup, recently introducing its Tonale, although it won’t be the last crossover to join its lineup. In a candid interview, Alfa CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato gave details of the new model , the brand’s first fully electric model.
Alfa Romeo CEO Remarks

Imparato revealed to Automotive News Europe that the new model, which is likely to be called the Brennero, will enter the Alfa Romeo lineup in the Tonale range. It will be launched in 2024. It will be the brand’s first all-electric car, which was offered by Alfa with combustion engines. The first electric car will only be launched in 2025, the same year the company says all new models will be 100% electric.

Imparato previously headed French company Peugeot, where he helped reform the brand’s financial outlook, and he wants to do the same at Alfa Romeo. He plans to achieve this by targeting BMW’s price competition in the market in which the two brands compete, and Imparato hopes to achieve cost parity within a few years.

Alfa will need a new lineup to compete, and the company has plans to develop five new models. One of them is the recently launched Tonali, while two other cars will replace the Giulia and Stelvio. The Tony Crossover will be the fourth car planned for electrification, with Alfa admitting it hasn’t decided what it will do for the fifth edition. Imparato said the company wants it to compete outside Europe, hinting that it will also reach the United States.

Alfa Romeo wants to have an important reveal every year until 2030, whether it’s the launch of an all-new model or an updated product. The Tonali is more focusedly designed to carve out a niche within the narrow Stellantis portfolio, helping to advance the past of gasoline-powered Alfas and transition into their electric future.
