Toyota launched the 13th generation Land Cruiser two months ago. The redesigned and restyled Land Cruiser was called the Land Cruiser 300, and this new generation succeeds the 14-year Land Cruiser 200. However, it is a banned fruit in the US as the company has pulled it out of the US altogether, and we’ll cover that at the end of the article.
In effect, the company has owners sign an acknowledgment with a dotted line that the vehicle will not be sold and include it in a contractual agreement.

Honestly the reason behind this is not absurd.
It was done to stop allowing it to get into the hands of terrorist groups.
In 2015, US officials wondered how ISIS had managed to obtain so many Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser vehicles.
Toyota even released a statement saying,
“Toyota has a strict policy not to sell vehicles to potential buyers who may use or modify them for paramilitary or terrorist activities, and we have procedures and contractual obligations in place to help prevent diversion of our products to unauthorized military use.

It is worth mentioning that Land Cruiser cars are famous for their robust construction and reliability, and have been the preferred vehicle for terrorist groups.
To make sure it doesn’t reach them, Toyota requires owners to commit not to resell their vehicles within 12 months of purchase.
And if you fail to do so, you will be prevented from buying another Toyota again.
Is there any other reason?
There are other reasons, but not as serious and important as the first, and given that the new Land Cruiser may not have seen the light of day in the United States, despite its tremendous success around the world, especially in its home country.
Toyota had indicated that it had received 22,000 reservations for the Land Cruiser 300 in Japan.
There are great opportunities to buy it and sell it at an extra profit whose price may increase due to the increased demand for it.
This way, the SUV will be available to people who really want it and not just flip it over for profits.
One of the decisions that Toyota will implement is also giving each customer inside Japan the opportunity to buy only one copy of the new car, and no one can buy more than one copy for himself.
If the buyer does not comply with these terms, Toyota will prevent him from purchasing any vehicle of its production for an indefinite period.
Responsibility for the resale will also apply to dealers.

Toyota Motor plans to discontinue one of its most popular models, the Toyota Land Cruiser, this year in some regions.
And off-road SUVs haven’t been one of Toyota’s best-selling models over the past few years.
But Toyota plans to pull the Land Cruiser out of the US, and a few other countries as well.
However, it will be available in the Gulf countries, of course, which is the main market for the car with limited other markets. Toyota Emirates announced, through a video broadcast on YouTube, the availability of the new version for the year 2022 .

Toyota Land Cruiser has always been one of the most popular off-road vehicles around the world.
Unfortunately, despite all its qualities and power, but the high price of this model was one of the factors that played against it and reduced its sales, causing its market share to decline year after year.
