Passat victim of SUV and electric car wave
There can be no doubts about the unparalleled fame of the Passat, and its good biography since its appearance , whether on the global level or the Middle East , but the catastrophe will occur, as Volkswagen announced that the 2022 Passat is the last of its kind. Volkswagen confirmed that next year’s model will be the last version of the well-known mid-size sedans sold in the United States and in all markets of the world.
The cabin looks more upscale than its price might suggest (starting at $23,995, plus a $995 destination fee).
Passat makes way for SUVs and electric vehicles

“We’ve sold some versions of the Passat for nearly 50 years, but with demand for the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport in high demand, in North America we need to launch production of the all-electric ID.4 SUV next year,”
said Scott Keough,
president and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America. The company plans to convert the Tennessee plant that builds the mid-size sedan into an SUV and electric vehicle (EV).

It wouldn’t be fair to say that VW has become only an SUV company.
Just this week, the automaker launched two new sporty versions of the Golf hatchback.
It also retains its spacious Jetta compact car and the sporty Arteon Sportback.
But the company has bet its future on electric cars, and its SUVs are outselling sedans these days.
A special edition of the Tennessee-themed Passat

The Passat will get a special edition as a deposit.
Volkswagen plans to build 1,973 Passat Limited Edition cars to honor the first year Volkswagen produced the car.
It will retail for $30,295 .

Shoppers can find the Limited Edition in Racing Green Metallic with a Mauro Brown interior, Pure White with Mauro Brown interior or Platinum Gray Metallic with Titan Black interior.
The Aurora Red Metallic version with Titan Black interior trim costs an extra $395.
All Limited Edition models will have unique 18-inch alloy wheels and mirror caps.

Inside, Limited Edition Passat models will receive seat cards that designate them as “1 of 1,973”.
The rug inside the cup holders features an aerial map of Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the Passat has been built since 2011. It will also gain perforated Viennese leather seating surfaces, heated front and rear seats, and plenty of entertainment thanks to a Fender Premium Audio audio system, along with Park assist with front and rear parking distance control, and automatic high beams are all standard.
2021 Volkswagen Passat PricingThe 2021 Volkswagen Passat starts at $23,995, plus a $995 destination charge. While the base Passat, the S, is well equipped, we recommend the SE. It has a lot more comfort, convenience, and safety features, for $26,995. The top 2021 VW Passat, the R-Line, starts at $29,995.
