A detailed review of the electric 2023 Jeep Avenger, advantages, disadvantages, prices and specifications

In addition to electrically adjustable side mirrors, rear parking sensors, and alloy wheels starting at 16 inches. Aside from the models, you can customize your vehicle from the front grille to the roof, or choose one of the seven colors that Jeep offers.

The exterior design of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

The 2023 Jeep Avenger’s design looks pure and washed, and cleverly aerodynamic, from the traditional hood bulge to sucking air into the windshield, giving it a 12 percent improvement in efficiency. Jeep’s small front and rear overhangs, wide track and ample ground clearance of 200mm give it an intense appearance, and the seven-slot front grille flows to mirror the all-electric powertrain.

The profile reflects the shape of a pure Jeep, with a suitably abrupt drop in the C-pillar, and at the rear are the company’s new-looking “X” taillights. The most impressive function comes from the plastic body protection, it provides a 360-degree lip around the bodywork, and the clever placement of the body cladding means that parking scratches are more likely to hurt the bare gray plastic than the rest of the body.

She seems smart enough; Evolution of the CMP platform allowed for shorter overhangs (improving vehicle approach and departure angles), and some neat design work around the wheel spokes give the Jeep Avenger a more stable stance than other vehicles on the same chassis, and the overall effect is that of a compact off-roader with a compact length of 4.08 metres. . It is the smallest in its class. Reducing the front and rear crash structures gives them short gaps to get out of hills and mountain speed bumps.

2023 Jeep Avenger chassis

The 2023 Jeep Avenger is based on the Stabilis platform, which Jeep engineers have put their stamp on. Many Peugeot and Opel cars are supported by the same eCMP 2 platform. But Jeep has done a lot of work to make it stronger, shortening the arms, improving the crash structures, widening the inner wings to accommodate the larger tires, and allowing for more wheel travel. And Jeep also acquired the latest electrical engineering.

From the start you’ll notice a lot, the modifications give it a softer setup, with slightly firmer damping keeping it stable over rough asphalt. It seems odd that an urban car would have off-road driving qualities, but it’s a Jeep. The brand is known for its impeccable off-road capabilities.

Interior cab design of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

While reviewing the 2023 Jeep Avenger, I found that the interior is elegant, and the dashboard in the test car is dominated by a horizontal beam finished in harmony with the exterior painted in “Sun Yellow”. Below it is a shelf similar to the latest Land Rover Defender models, finished with a rubber coating to prevent items from sliding off.

2023 Jeep Avenger dashboard

049 2023 Jeep Avenger

The dashboard is clean and elegantly designed, no gearshift but drive selector switches, Jeep does well by retaining the traditional buttons for heating and ventilation, the bottom line is that the finish everywhere is smart and tasteful that adds to the luxury, and there are enough body-colour inserts to brighten the mood Moody, with some patterned menus, of course there are gray plastics.

2023 Jeep Avenger interior layout

The best way to describe the cabin of the 2023 Jeep Avenger. The simple design is full of clever touches, and there’s just enough color to make the interiors look positively powerful. With a gold stripe running directly across the face of the dashboard, it’ll be silver on mid-range models, and plastic on lower-end models.

The quality of materials in the interior of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

Although interior plastics are mostly hard on all versions of the 2023 Jeep Avenger, they don’t feel cheap or bad. And we can say that the build quality is almost on par with the Kia Niro electric car and the notch-top ZS EV.

The view from the 2023 Jeep Avenger

2023 Jeep Avenger 13

Visibility is impressive thanks to the relatively tall windows. Rear parking sensors are standard across the range, and if you go for the top of the range you also get sensors on the front and sides of the car, as well as a rear-view camera.

2023 Jeep Avenger seats

2023 Jeep Avenger 16

It’s easy to feel comfortable behind the wheel, thanks to plenty of adjustment in the seat and steering wheel. You will find it easy to see the digital instrument panel behind the steering wheel. The only slight disappointment, though, is that there is no adjustable lumbar support in the driver’s seat on any version of the 2023 Jeep Avenger.

The spaciousness and spaciousness of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

The 2023 Jeep Avenger seats four adults with plenty of knee and legroom in the back. It’s impressively spacious in the front area, with impressive headroom and legroom, though taller rear cabin passengers might complain a bit about headroom in the center seat. Rear seat space is tight but that’s acceptable in a car that measures 4.08m in length, which is shorter than a Volkswagen Polo.

2023 Jeep Avenger 18

It’s no surprise, then, that the Avenger isn’t the most practical family car in the world. The rear legroom is somewhat tight. Six feet is adequate but their knees will be tucked into the back of the front seat. However, there is ample headroom for all rear passengers.

Storage space in the 2023 Jeep Avenger

027 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger

The 2023 Jeep Avenger offers best-in-class storage, as Jeep claims: There’s a huge cubby at the bottom of the dash and center console covered by a flip-up magnetic flap reminiscent of an Apple iPad lid, and the beverage area has sliding dividers. Jeep says there’s 34 liters of storage in the front compartment. And two cup holders and another small compartment under the center armrest.

2023 Jeep Avenger infotainment system

All trim levels come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment, positioned high on the dashboard so it’s easy to see while driving. It’s easy to use, thanks to its intuitive operating system and quick responses to screen gestures. The system responds quickly to screen pressure.

The screen offers Android and Apple integration, along with TomTom navigation — and a digital instrument panel that’s 10.25 inches in luxury versions, and drops to 7 inches in lower-end models. The program’s functionality extensions can also be accessed via smartphones and smartwatches. Jeep charges extra for the built-in satellite navigation on the cheaper models, but we wouldn’t bother with that because of smartphone mirroring.

2023 Jeep Avenger trunk

The 355-liter trunk is slightly smaller than that of the Niro EV, but it’s still big enough for a weekend getaway. The wide, square opening makes it easy to load larger items, and on higher models.

You will find a height-adjustable boot floor. There’s a small storage space under the floor of the main trunk (enough for charging cables), which is useful since there’s no trunk on the 2023 Jeep Avenger.

2023 jeep avenger battery

038 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger

There is a 54 kWh (51 kWh usable) battery, consisting of 10 cell modules under the rear seats and seven modules under the front. Equipped with a heat pump (on hand)

The Avenger comes with a standard 3-phase AC charger, and accepts rapid charging at a maximum of 100 kilowatts. Jeep says the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent charge in 24 minutes. That’s faster than you can charge the Niro EV and MG ZS. And if you’re plugging in a 7kW charger at home, expect to wait just over eight hours for a full charge (0-100%).

Range of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

Weighing just over a ton and a half, Jeep says it will be able to travel about 400km between recharge intervals, or 550km in stopped urban traffic that allows braking energy to be recovered more frequently. We have not been able to test the range of traffic, and if we are able to do so, we will update this information.

2023 jeep avenger engine

The 2023 Jeep Avenger is powered by a front-wheel drive electric motor, producing 154 horsepower and 192 lb-ft. Backed by a 51kWh (usable) battery and good for an official range of 249 miles, Jeep says the engine makes acceleration agile, meaning you can go from 0-62mph in 9.0 seconds.

041 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger

This new electric motor motor has been impressively improved, under a joint venture between Stellants and Nidec, and the result is an engine with no whine, even under intense acceleration. And the heat pump comes as standard adding 10% more to the range than would otherwise have been possible.

2023 Jeep Avenger drivetrain

01 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger 1

The Avenger will begin its life as a front-wheel-drive model, while an all-wheel-drive version is coming soon. For now, Jeep says the Avenger’s capability comes from 20-degree and 32-degree breaking angles, 200mm of ground clearance, and front and rear overhangs, which are shorter by 30 mm lower than those found in other Estelles models built on the eCMP2 platform as it has been adapted and improved to meet Jeep’s off-road needs.

Driving impressions of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

The Avenger has a 154-horsepower electric motor. Performance is certainly still somewhat modest by electric car standards, but you’ll have no problems keeping up with fast-paced traffic, even on the highway.

Ride quality of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

014 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger

The 2023 Jeep Avenger handles most lumps and bumps well by class standards. It offers a good ride, even on some fairly rutted roads and on the test road we went over some hills, and it was stable, but the 18-inch alloy wheels, though they have all-round suppleness, were very uncomfortable. In fact, the Jeep Allenger seems to sit at the high end of the segment.

Jeep Avenger 2023 Driving Modes

There are several driving modes that allow you to customize the traction control system for different terrains, including mud, sand, and snow. Normal mode produces 80 kW (107 hp) and 162 lb-ft. And 220Nm of torque, delivered to the front wheels, feels quick enough to maneuver through city traffic, or push it around. And if you demand maximum performance from it, essential elements such as pedal adjustment and steering are never out of balance.

032 2023 Jeep Avenger

If you flick the switch between the front seats to shift into Eco mode, those figures drop to 60 kW and 180 Nm. In the default setting, there’s still enough power for B-roads and motorways, and I finally found the maximum output for Sport mode to be 115 kW (154 bhp). and 260 Nm of torque, often driving modes, make a noticeable difference. While the torque retains its performance quality in all modes.

2023 Jeep Avenger performance on highways

On faster roads, the Avenger’s soft suspension results in a fair degree of body roll, and the understeer steering prevents you from feeling properly engaged in the action. You can add more weight to the steering by switching to Sport mode (which makes the car respond more sharply to accelerator inputs), but it doesn’t really help you position the car more precisely, making the difference to an Avenger that was more relaxed. And natural and simple.

030

Level asphalt would probably improve the Jeep Avenger’s performance in smoothing the rolling, but even so, there’s little shifting or road growl, and the worst noise we could detect at 100km/h was the little wind rushing from around the side mirrors.

2023 Jeep Avenger performance in the city

048 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger 1

The steering could achieve a bit more weight and feel, and overall the car is easy to drive around town. Moreover, in the urban environment, the 154-horsepower electronic motor feels powerful enough. It only pulls on steep roads on the highway or when overtaking.

2023 Jeep Avenger Off-Road Performance

We didn’t get to drive the Avenger off-road (Jeep wouldn’t let us), and I think it’s due to its lack of four-wheel drive, and I managed to reach out to some off-roaders during initial testing, and they tried one of the off-road modes; The “mud” setting allowed the front wheels to spin a little more than normal in an attempt to clean them of sludge and create better traction.

The short test was conducted on a puddle-only track, and the test showed that the front-wheel drive setup could adapt to slippery and wet conditions, and showed how to increase the ride height over many ground obstacles. The other modes, by the way, are “Sand” and “Snow”, but no one has tried them, and there is also a hill slope control system that I haven’t tried.

2023 Jeep Avenger suspension

The Avenger is well-behaved and easy-going. Next to a quiet, quiet cockpit (even at dual-way speeds), the quiet suspension, with struts in front and torsion beams in the rear, is disturbed only by the meanest potholes. The Avenger absorbs speed bumps with confidence, and the well-controlled body settles in quickly.

08 2023 Jeep Avenger

Only when you hit potholes or a broken piece of asphalt does the suspension suffer a bit. This can lead to a loud sound. Otherwise, the Avenger is quiet in motion, with very little tire noise and a small amount of wind blowing at highway speeds.

Steering of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

The steering feels good and turns well, but is light and heavy at urban cornering speeds: I preferred the heft and consistency of the Sport setup, but unfortunately you can’t mix this with the normal powertrain. On the other hand, parking maneuvers are made easy thanks to the fast lock-to-lock capability. And corners are distributed by plenty of front-end grip, even those with nasty mid-corner bumps.

022 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger

Its light steering and relatively tight cornering circle give the car elusive driving ability. The steering responds smoothly and predictably to throttle inputs as well, and I found the brake pedal to be more tactile than many competitors. This makes it easy to slow your progress smoothly.

The handling and stability of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

The Avenger feels right at home, the steering is constantly weighted, with plenty of heft, and the steering is direct and quick enough for you to precisely position this Jeep. It also does a good job of staying level and stable in corners, and there is adjustability in the frame; If you find that the nose rolls low—it’s a perfectly normal and predictable trait if you’re misbehaving—raising the middle angle can bring it back into line.

032 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger 1

I’d have liked to take time out on the roads for a final verdict but really doubt this car achieves a better blend of quietness, comfort, control and handling than many of its competitors, including some from within the Stellants itself.

The range of the 2023 Jeep Avenger

It’s hard to comment yet on how realistic the WLTP’s 400km range is, and during testing on a cold November morning, our car was on track to deliver around 350km. Given that it achieved 248 miles during the official WLTP test cycle,

013 Jeep Avenger 2023 Jeep Avenger

Pressing the “B” switch increased the level of energy regeneration at take-off from 15 kW to 45 kW, helping the car to travel more comfortably over this distance in the city.

Braking in a 2023 Jeep Avenger

The Avenger has both normal and enhanced regenerative braking modes, the latter being actuated by pressing an unresponsive D button. Deceleration is very moderate, and will not please drivers who like to raise the gas pedal to apply sharp braking (fans of one-pedal driving).

05 2023 Jeep Avenger 1

The brake regeneration isn’t strong enough to allow for one-pedal driving, but it slows the car down enough, while Jeep claims it has the ability to send enough power to the battery to extend a range of 245 miles up to 360 miles in slow, stopped traffic. We couldn’t really test this claim, but the range readings seemed mostly accurate.

Crash test results for the 2023 Jeep Avenger

jeep avenger safety 1450x740 1

Although the independent safety experts at Euro NCAP haven’t released crash test results for the Avenger at the time of writing, there’s plenty to help prevent an accident in the first place. This includes Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with cyclist and pedestrian detection, and you’ll also need to upgrade to Summit (or add options) to get blind-spot monitoring and automatic high-beam assist for the headlights.
