Another source with direct knowledge of those talks between Reuters and Hyundai said that the latter is currently in advanced discussions with a number of officials in the United States of America regarding the construction of a factory dedicated to the production of electric cars in Georgia.
It is noteworthy that Alabama Governor Kay Levy has stated that his government has partnered with Hyundai Motor Company for support and funding to prepare the state’s auto industry for the EV revolution.
Investing in electric vehicles in the US market

It is worth noting here that Hyundai’s announcement of its next plan came at a time when the administration of US President Joe Biden was demanding more investment in electric and hybrid cars, in the context of creating a lot of job opportunities as well as encouraging clean energy work, and reducing harmful emissions. for conventional fuel engines.
In particular, Hyundai’s announcement of this investment deal represents a very important step in promoting the economic development of Georgia, which in turn seeks to consolidate its position as a regional center in the emerging electric vehicle industry.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Hyundai can employ approximately 8,500 people as part of its future plans to establish a new factory, and the plant is expected to be built on an area of 2,200 acres.

The newspaper also reported that the United States of America had presented this investment plan earlier to a number of other car companies such as: Rivian, Volvo, and Jaguar Land Rover.
For its part, the US government confirmed that it will allocate more than 3 billion dollars to support infrastructure projects, as well as to finance electric cars in America, as America seeks to have half of the vehicles sold by it become electric by 2030.
