It shows the electric concept and future direction of MG and also reflects the roots of British sports cars
MG revealed the bold “MG Cyberster” concept, it is an electric “MG B Roadster” two-door car that “MG” aims to provide “a vision for the future”, and revealed it before its public appearance for the first time at the Shanghai Auto Show.
The new car is described as a sporty concept and aims to evoke the brand’s Chinese roots as a British sports car maker, with a number of design features that echo the classic MG B Roadster.

MG has not yet released full technical details of the “MG Cyberster,” but says it is based on an electric “EV” platform specifically designed for its production, and achieves acceleration from 0-62 mph “100 km/h” in less than 3.0 seconds. It will also feature 5G connectivity.

The “MG Cyberster” features round LED headlights that MG describes as “Magic Eye”, which are inspired by classic MG models, which “unfold” when turned on. There are also bold “laser belt” LED strips under the sides of the car, while the flat rear features an LED light design with elements that take the shape of two opposite arrows inspired by the British “Union Jack” flag.

About this design, said Carl Gotham, Head of Design Center, “ MG Cyberster is a bold statement that looks strongly at the future of MG, touches our heritage but most importantly builds on the latest technology and advanced design.”
It is reported that the MG B Roadster is a two-seater convertible that focuses on sporty looks, an American term for the two-seater without a roof “convertible.”
The company did not reveal more about the “MG Cyberster” and said that more details about the “MG Cyberster” will be provided when it is presented at the Shanghai Auto Show, which will be held on April 21.
